Huasun Energy Unveils Himalaya 760 HV Solar Module
Huasun Energy has recently introduced the Himalaya 760 HV Heterojunction (HJT) solar module, which marks a significant advancement in solar technology with its remarkable power output of 760 W and an impressive efficiency rating of 24.5%. Notably, this new solar module also features a groundbreaking system voltage of 2000 V, setting a new standard in the industry and enhancing the potential for ultra-high-performance solar modules.
The chairman of Huasun, Xu Xiaohua, emphasized the transition of the photovoltaic industry into a new era where system-level cost reduction and lifecycle value become pivotal for competitiveness. Designed specifically for large energy supply and desert projects, the Himalaya 760 HV module enables higher power output and high-voltage operations, maximizing project feasibility and profitability.
Revolutionary System Voltage
By elevating the system voltage from the conventional 1500 V to 2000 V, the Himalaya 760 HV empowers substantial system-level optimizations. In a simulated 100 MVA supply project in Hami, Xinjiang, it was demonstrated that the 2000 V configuration could achieve the following benefits when compared to a 1500 V system:
1. Reduction in balance of system (BOS) costs by approximately 0.1157 RMB/W (around 1.6 US cents/W)
2. Minimization of the need for over 5,000 foundation piles
3. Significant improvements in land-use efficiency
Further analysis revealed that against a TOPCon system yielding 725 W at 1500 V, the new HJT system at 760 W (2000 V) delivers:
- - BOS cost reductions of 0.1521 RMB/W (approximately 2.1 US cents/W)
- - BOS savings of approximately 11.95%
- - An increase in the internal rate of return (IRR) for projects by 0.86 percentage points
These enhancements translate directly into increased returns on investments for utility-scale solar projects, reinforcing the Himalaya 760 HV's position as a leading solution in the competitive solar market.
Advanced Design for Maximum Efficiency
The Himalaya 760 HV module showcases several sophisticated design upgrades, including a dual-string architecture featuring 132 half-cells, large-format silicon wafers, a negative spacing design, and a high screen coverage. With an active area ratio of 95.8%, the module can achieve a power gain of approximately 20 W and an efficiency improvement of 0.66%.
To ensure safety in ultra-high-voltage operations, the module employs an innovative butyl edge sealing process that enhances insulation without compromising efficiency. Importantly, the Himalaya 760 HV is fully compatible with existing high-efficiency production lines, needing only minor equipment adjustments for expedited mass production.
A New Benchmark for Solar Solutions
With its compelling specifications of 760 W output, a 24.5% efficiency rating, and groundbreaking 2000 V system voltage, the Himalaya 760 HV sets a new benchmark for next-generation photovoltaic installations. Xu Xiaohua remarked, “760 W is not an endpoint, but a new starting point. This platform will continue to evolve towards higher performance, greater efficiency, and enhanced value creation for the global clean energy transition.”
