She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1997, later receiving her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School in 2000. She is licensed to practice in multiple jurisdictions, including the Oregon State Bar and the Wisconsin State Bar.

Throughout her extensive career, Jergovic-Harris has made a significant impact in various capacities. Currently, she provides legal counsel for CrowdDoing in El Dorado Hills, California, where she plays a pivotal role in guiding the company's legal strategies. In addition, she holds the position of Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Sherlock's Home Base, LLC in Tampa, Florida. In this role, she is instrumental in overseeing the company’s legal affairs as it develops affordable housing solutions, showcasing her dedication to community welfare.

A Legacy of Advocacy


Highlighting her dynamic career, Nicole has also been deeply involved in animal law. She has worked with the Animal Legal Defense Fund, promoting animal welfare and rights. Her advocacy in this field earned her prestigious accolades, including the Diamond Collar Award from the Oregon Humane Society in 2012 and recognition as the “Best Animal Law Attorney” by Spot Magazine in 2015.

From 2003 to 2023, she served as a lead deputy district attorney at the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office. Here, she gained a reputation for her exceptional courtroom skills and commitment to justice, navigating complex and emotionally charged cases. One poignant case brought her national attention, detailed in the book "Faced My Fears in Portland: A Homicide Case, a Confirmation, and a Caution" by Diane De Han. Nicole's portrayal in the book highlights her prowess as a litigation attorney, capturing her ability to handle severe and multifaceted legal challenges with remarkable composure.

Nicole’s contributions are not confined to her legal practice alone; she is also a passionate educator. She has served as an adjunct professor of criminal law at Western Business College and has been actively involved as a speaker at national conferences, inspiring future generations of legal professionals.
