(BMI) has announced that Atticus Ross, an acclaimed composer, producer, and recording artist, will be presented with the prestigious BMI Icon Award at the upcoming 41st Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards. This esteemed ceremony is set to take place on May 14, 2025, in Beverly Hills, California. Ross is celebrated for his multi-faceted contributions to the world of music, particularly in film and television.
As an Academy Award®, Golden Globe, and GRAMMY Award-winning composer, Ross has built a remarkable career that spans decades. Ross's collaboration with fellow musician Trent Reznor has produced some of the most iconic film scores of recent years. Together, they have created memorable soundtracks for movies like The Social Network, Gone Girl, and Soul, earning two Academy Awards® along the way. Their work transcends the realm of feature films, as they have also made significant contributions to television, including the Emmy-winning score for HBO's Watchmen and the historic documentary The Vietnam War by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.
Ross's artistic prowess does not stop at collaborations with Reznor. He has also worked alongside his brother, Leopold Ross, and wife, Claudia Sarne, contributing to projects such as Black Mirror and The Book of Eli. His recent work on the series Shōgun, in partnership with Leopold and fellow composer Nick Chuba, garnered accolades, including two Emmy nominations and a GRAMMY nomination.

Since officially joining Nine Inch Nails in 2016, he has played a crucial role in shaping the band's recent sound.
