PMJ and PMI were recognized for their commitment to creating a remarkable employment environment, meeting the needs of an evolving world. PMJ is now among 17 companies certified for the 2026 fiscal year, reflecting the ongoing transformation to enhance the workforce.

The certification process by the Top Employers Institute assesses whether PMJ meets standards across six areas of human resources:

1. Drive: Business and human resource strategy, leadership development.
2. Organizational Design: Structuring and restructuring, digitalization of HR, improving the work environment.

PMI’s Vision: A Smoke-Free Society

Philip Morris International (PMI) works towards achieving a smoke-free society, evolving its product portfolio over the long term to include products without paper cigarettes or nicotine. As of June 30, 2025, PMI’s smoke-free products are available in major cities and national markets across 100 countries, with an estimated 41.5 million adult smokers using PMI's smoke-free products worldwide. This segment accounts for about 41% of PMI’s net revenue from January to September 2025.

Since 2008, PMI has invested $14 billion aiming to phase out cigarette sales by innovatively developing and commercializing smoke-free products for adult smokers. This includes building world-class scientific evaluation capabilities in preclinical system toxicology, clinical and behavioral research, and post-marketing surveillance. Based on strict scientific assessments, the FDA has approved sales for certain PMI devices and tobacco sticks, marking these as the first in their categories to obtain such permission. Moreover, products like IQOS devices and General snus have become the first Modified Risk Tobacco Products (MRTP) approved by the FDA.

With solid capabilities in life sciences, PMI aims to expand into wellness and healthcare, intending to enhance life quality through seamless health experiences.
