Introduction
The General Foundation for Promoting Ceremony Culture is excited to announce the 9th Annual Painting Contest aimed at elementary school students across Japan. This initiative is designed to spark interest in the rich tapestry of ceremonial culture and encourage young minds to express their understanding of rituals through art.
Contest Themes
Participants are invited to explore the following themes in their entries:

Eligibility Criteria
This contest is open to all children currently enrolled in elementary schools within Japan. We believe that engaging students from an early age in cultural discussions and artistic expressions will foster appreciation for Japan's rich heritage and traditions.
Submission Details
- - Application Period: September 1, 2025 (Monday) to December 26, 2025 (Friday). All entries must be postmarked by this deadline.
- - How to Apply: Students should detach the application form from the recruitment leaflet, fill in the necessary information, and affix it to the back of their artwork. The completed submissions should then be mailed to the address provided below.

Awards and Prizes
The contest not only celebrates artistic expression but also recognizes outstanding works with prizes:

Excellence Award: 6 winners will receive a 10,000 yen bookstore card.
2.
Selected Works: 18 participants will be awarded a 5,000 yen bookstore card.
3.
Honorable Mentions: 30 contestants will receive a 3,000 yen bookstore card.
All participants will be awarded a certificate acknowledging their submission, featuring a reproduction of their artwork. The results of the contest will be announced on the foundation's website by late March.
