With over two decades of extensive experience in corporate law, business strategy, and governance, Mónica Jiménez González has been appointed as Corporate Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Secretary. Ms. Jiménez has previously held critical roles within Ecopetrol, including the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Secretary, where she successfully drove corporate governance initiatives. Her professional history also includes leading legal and strategic operations at GeoPark Ltd. and advising boards on complex business matters. A law degree holder from Universidad de los Andes along with multiple specialized certifications, Ms. Jiménez is expected to contribute significantly to Ecopetrol’s governance and sustainability agendas.
Mauricio Gutiérrez - Corporate Vice President of Strategy and New Business
Joining Ecopetrol as Corporate Vice President of Strategy and New Business, Mauricio Gutiérrez brings with him a wealth of knowledge from over 15 years in investment banking and corporate finance. Gutiérrez has a solid academic background, with degrees in Business Administration and International Management, and has completed executive education programs at prestigious institutions like Harvard and Stanford. His previous experience includes structuring mergers and acquisitions at GVC Capital and advising hydrocarbon companies at CEDEM, making him well-positioned to lead strategic initiatives and new business developments at Ecopetrol.
Camilo Rojas - Corporate Vice President of Administration and Services
Camilo Rojas steps into the role of Corporate Vice President of Administration and Services, armed with over 20 years of public sector leadership experience. Rojas has served in high-ranking positions, including Acting Minister of Justice in Colombia, where he played a pivotal role in developing national crime policies. His expertise in procurement and public works will be vital for overseeing Ecopetrol’s supply chain processes, ensuring adherence to high standards of integrity and transparency. He is well-qualified with law degrees and multiple master’s degrees, which will strengthen the administrative framework at Ecopetrol.
