Clean Energy Connect Partners with Resona Bank
In a significant step towards enhancing its funding capabilities, Clean Energy Connect (CEC), a leader in green energy solutions, has recently finalized a commitment line contract worth 5 billion yen with Resona Bank. This agreement elevates the total funds raised by CEC to 81.1 billion yen, underscoring their commitment to addressing the expanding demand for renewable energy among businesses.
The increase in corporate interest for renewable energy solutions, particularly in the context of decarbonization strategies and participation in initiatives like RE100, has prompted a growing need for additional renewable energy sources. CEC is responding proactively by bolstering its electricity supply network to ensure the smooth deployment of off-site corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
With this new financing arrangement, Clean Energy Connect aims to minimize lead times for PPA structuring and electricity supply initiation, thereby enhancing supply certainty. The company is progressing its development processes for various projects, anticipating future PPA formations while also fostering stronger partnerships with developers. This strategic alignment ensures that the supply of Non-FIT solar power to corporate clients is not only stable but can also be deployed rapidly, effectively catering to customers' fluctuating demands.
Clean Energy Connect is committed to addressing the diverse needs of its stakeholders and will continue to deepen its collaborations with financial institutions. The company's ongoing efforts to diversify procurement avenues reflect its dedication to promoting the broader adoption of renewable energy and contributing to sustainable energy supply infrastructures. This proactive approach is essential for supporting corporations in their decarbonization efforts.
