Gathering Innovation for a Better Tomorrow
On January 19, 2026, the innovative spirit of young social entrepreneurs will shine brightly during the
i-SIP MEET UP DAY, an event organized by
Borderless Japan at the
Tokyo Innovation Base. This event is a culmination of the
U30 Impact Startup Incubation Program (i-SIP), which was launched in April 2025 to support startups led by individuals under the age of 30 addressing social issues.
What is the i-SIP?
The
i-SIP program, funded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's initiative to expand support for diverse startup entities, aims to create an ecosystem for entrepreneurs tackling global societal challenges. This year-long program assists participants in building sustainable business models, achieving product-market fit (PMF), and securing funding to turn their entrepreneurial visions into reality.
On this particular day, 15 promising young entrepreneurs will converge, each with their own unique solutions aimed at creating a significant social impact. Through pitches and networking opportunities, participants will expand their horizons for co-creation, collaboration, and potential investment.
Agenda for the Day
The
MEET UP DAY serves as a platform for these U30 social entrepreneurs to present their current projects and future aspirations to the public, thus sowing the seeds of collaboration. The event will consist of two main segments:
1.
Startup Pitch Session: In the first half, six startups will take the stage to deliver their pitches. They will receive feedback from esteemed guest advisors, including venture capitalists, financial institutions, and experienced entrepreneurs. This invaluable mentorship will guide them in refining their business ideas and enhancing their impact on society.
2.
Networking Session: In the latter half, all 15 participating teams will set up booths to showcase their products and services while engaging in discussions regarding collaboration opportunities. Attendees, including corporate representatives, local governments, venture capitalists, and other supporters, will have the chance to connect directly with these aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering new partnerships and investments.
This event is not only ideal for those who are passionate about social entrepreneurship or the issues facing society today but also for individuals considering starting their own ventures in the future.
