PODS® Announces Leadership Change as Lisa Goettel Retires and Laureen Druker Takes Over as CHRO
Leadership Transition at PODS Enterprises
In a significant move for the company, PODS Enterprises, LLC, renowned for revolutionizing the moving and storage industry, has announced the retirement of Lisa Goettel, its Senior Vice President of Human Resources. After 18 years with the company, Goettel will be stepping down on January 2, 2026. Laureen Druker has been named as her successor in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, effective the same day.
When Goettel first joined PODS, the organization had only around 500 employees and operated under a largely franchise model. Over her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in guiding the company through extensive growth, leading to an expansion of its workforce to over 2,100 employees today, with most of its operations now corporate-owned. Her hands-on approach and strategic vision significantly impacted PODS' culture and talent management practices, establishing a comprehensive framework for employee development and support.
Kathy Marinello, the President and CEO of PODS, expressed profound gratitude towards Goettel for her years of dedicated service, stating, "Lisa's vision and commitment to our people have been foundational to our success. We wish her a wonderful and well-earned retirement."
As for Laureen Druker, she brings more than 36 years of human resource experience to her new position. Druker started at PODS as a Senior HR Business Partner and has progressively advanced through various leadership roles in HR operations. Her most recent positions include Director and Vice President of HR Operations, where she directed initiatives in talent acquisition and HR operations with a comprehensive focus on workforce strategy.
Prior to her tenure at PODS, Druker held significant leadership roles at McKinsey, where she honed her skills in talent management and employee engagement, which she views as essential components in fostering a stimulating work environment.
"I am honored to step into this role and continue building on the incredible foundation Lisa has created," Druker commented. "At PODS, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and I look forward to working with our teams to cultivate a culture where every employee feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive."
In her capacity as Chief Human Resources Officer, Druker’s immediate focus will be on aligning the company’s human capital strategies with its business objectives. She will oversee key initiatives such as talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, engagement efforts, and total rewards. This strategic alignment underscores PODS’ dedication to nurturing a people-centered organization that enhances employee performance and strengthens its market position.
For over 25 years, PODS has maintained its status as a trusted leader in the moving and storage sector, having pioneered the concept of portable moving in 1998.
