Study Valley Hosts a Free Online Seminar on Authentic Learning



On October 31, 2025, Study Valley, an EdTech company based in Edogawa, Tokyo, will conduct a free online seminar titled, "Exploring Beyond Binary: Authentic Learning Between Paper and Digital, Interest and Challenges." This seminar is designed for middle and high school teachers and educational committee personnel from across the nation, aiming to address the dualities present in the educational landscape today.

In this seminar, participants will delve into the complexities surrounding the concept of 'exploration' in education. The event will be divided into two main sessions. The first part will concentrate on how to harmonize the strengths of paper-based learning with the advantages of digital resources to enrich the educational experience. Attendees will gain insights from practical implementations in the classroom, examining the benefits each medium offers and how they can be effectively combined to support student inquiry.

By sharing real-life examples from his teaching practice, he will offer practical tips on how to leverage both mediums effectively in supporting student inquiry.

Part 2: Featured Seminar
Title: What Does 'Real Learning' Mean When Exploring Corporate Themes?
Speaker: Yuki Tanaka, CEO of Study Valley
This part will explore the essence of learning that students gain when they investigate real-world corporate issues. Through examples that extend beyond traditional classroom boundaries, participants will consider the implications of inquiry-based learning for career development and guidance.

Yuki Tanaka is a member of the research group for promoting education and social collaboration for innovation at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. After graduating from the University of Tokyo's graduate school, he worked in the technology department at Goldman Sachs and was responsible for investments in early-stage startups in the US and Israel at Recruit Holdings.
