Ford Appoints Maria Grazia Davino as Vice President of Sales in Europe

Ford Europe is taking significant steps to bolster its leadership structure as part of its broader strategy to transform business operations and improve customer experiences throughout the continent. In this regard, the company has announced the appointment of Maria Grazia Davino as Vice President of Sales effective October 1, 2026.

In her new role, Davino will oversee European sales and manage the entirety of business operations, encompassing retail, the dealer network, and distribution channels. She will report directly to Jim Baumbick, President of Ford of Europe. This pivotal appointment is a testament to Ford's commitment to offering highly differentiated products that cater to the evolving needs of European consumers.

The strategic focus for Ford in Europe includes strengthening its Ford Pro division, the company's commercial vehicle segment where it already holds a prominent market position. Ford also plans to enhance its offerings in the passenger vehicle segment with the introduction of five new models slated to hit dealerships by 2029.

Maria Grazia Davino comes with more than two decades of extensive experience in the automotive industry, specializing in sales, marketing, and business transformation. Before joining Ford, she served as the Regional General Manager for BYD Europe, successfully leading operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Nordic countries. Her tenure at BYD was marked by significant growth and brand development across these markets.

Prior to her role at BYD, Davino spent over ten years at Stellantis—previously known as FCA—where she held multiple high-level positions. Most recently, she was the Group Managing Director and CEO for Stellantis UK, where she managed a diverse portfolio and led the company’s transition toward electric vehicles. At the outset of her career in Stellantis, she held leadership positions with responsibilities spanning sales and marketing across Europe, as well as overseeing operations in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and the UK. She began her professional journey at Lamborghini Automotive in 2003.

Jim Baumbick praised Davino's extensive experience, stating, "Maria Grazia is a highly experienced leader with deep expertise in the European automotive sector. Her skills in building high-performing teams and establishing strong relations with customers and dealers will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business in Europe."

Based in Cologne, Germany, Davino will play a critical role in steering Ford’s direction in an increasingly competitive market. Her appointment aligns with Ford's ambitious plan known as 'Ford+', which aims to marry existing strengths with new capabilities and ongoing customer relationships to enrich customer experiences and drive loyalty.
