Huasun Energy Unveils Cutting-Edge 760 W Heterojunction Solar Module for High-Voltage Systems

Huasun Energy Launches Himalaya 760 HV Solar Module

Huasun Energy has recently announced the launch of its latest innovation, the Himalaya 760 HV heterojunction solar module, which delivers a remarkable output of 760 W and has an efficiency rating of 24.5%. Designed for high-voltage systems operating at 2,000 V, this module marks a significant milestone in the solar energy sector, aiming to enhance the market's transition towards ultra-high power modules and yield higher system returns for customers.

A New Era for the Solar Industry

According to Xu Xiaohua, the president of Huasun, the photovoltaic industry is entering a transformative phase, where cost reduction at the system level and lifecycle value are key competitiveness drivers. The Himalaya 760 HV module is specifically optimized for large-scale utility projects and arid zone deployments, designed to maximize profitability through enhanced power output and high-voltage operation.

Maximizing System Efficiency

With the system voltage upgraded from the industry-standard 1,500 V to an impressive 2,000 V, the Himalaya 760 HV allows for substantial system-level optimizations. A simulated 100 MVA utility project in Hami, Xinjiang, demonstrated that this switch leads to:
1. A reduction in Balance of System (BOS) costs by approximately 0.1157 RMB/W (around $0.016 USD/W).
2. A decrease in the need for over 5,000 foundation pilings.
3. Significant improvements in land use efficiency.

Further analysis compared the HJT 760 W system with a traditional TOPCon 725 W system operating at 1,500 V, revealing that the 2,000 V configuration significantly diminished BOS costs by 0.1521 RMB/W (around $0.021 USD/W), resulting in an 11.95% savings and an increase in the project's Internal Rate of Return (IRR) by 0.86 percentage points. These enhancements translate directly into improved investment returns for large-scale solar projects.

Advanced Design and Scalability

The Himalaya 760 HV features a host of advanced design upgrades, such as a dual-string architecture utilizing 132 half-cells, large silicon wafers, negative spacing design, and high screen coverage. With an active area ratio of 95.8%, this module achieves approximately 20 W of power gain along with a 0.66% efficiency improvement. Moreover, to ensure safety and reliability at ultra-high voltage operation, Huasun has implemented a groundbreaking edge sealing process utilizing butyl rubber for superior insulation while maintaining efficiency. The module is fully compatible with existing high-efficiency production lines, requiring only minor equipment adjustments for rapid and stable mass production.

Setting New Standards in Solar Technology

With a power output of 760 W, efficiency of 24.5%, and a versatile 2,000 V platform, the Himalaya 760 HV sets a new benchmark for next-generation solar photovoltaic systems. Xu noted, "760 W is not an endpoint but a new starting point." He emphasized that this platform will continue to evolve towards higher power outputs and efficiencies, driving greater value in the global shift toward clean energy.
