Yutong Launches Its First Comprehensive European Service Center in Norway

Yutong's First Comprehensive Service Center in Europe

On September 8, 2026, Yutong Bus officially opened its first comprehensive service center in Stokke, Norway. This new facility marks a significant milestone in Yutong's expansion into the European market, as it consolidates multiple services under one roof to better support electric bus fleets throughout their lifecycle.

A New Era for Electric Public Transportation

As Norway continues its transition towards electric public transport, the Yutong service center aims to enhance the maintenance capabilities, compliance checks, and local service responsiveness for 100% electric buses. By providing a more direct service option, Yutong ensures systematic support for its customers operating electric bus fleets.

The center spans approximately 38,941 square meters, featuring a built area of 6,074 square meters which includes a 2,300-square-meter spare parts warehouse. It offers dedicated spaces for vehicle showcase, delivery, after-sales service, spare parts provision, and professional training, thus delivering a comprehensive customer experience.

Jack Li, CEO of Yutong for Central and Northern Europe, stated, "The service center is positioned as a complete and centralized service platform, equipped with an extensive stock of spare parts, inspection facilities, professional maintenance workshops, and specialized training equipment. Our goal is to effectively reduce our clients' total cost of ownership and optimize the availability of their buses. We strive to provide cost-effective services while contributing to greener, smarter, and more inclusive public transportation."

A One-Stop Service Ecosystem

The newly established center provides a one-stop service ecosystem that includes spare parts supply, technical assistance, troubleshooting diagnostics, maintenance, and professional training. This integrated approach enhances service efficiency and delivers comprehensive support throughout the fleet lifecycle to Norwegian passenger transport operators.

The facility features a complete reception area, maintenance and repair zones, a spare parts warehouse, practical training spaces, a vehicle exhibition area, and a brand experience area which altogether provide local clients a wide range of services covering every aspect from vehicle sales and deliveries to after-sales repairs and technical training.

The maintenance area includes seven standardized maintenance bays and designated areas for drivetrain repairs, equipped with four-column lifts, laser wheel alignment systems, brake testing benches, and heavy-duty tire balancers. Services offered encompass repairs for chassis, electric and high-voltage systems, drivetrains, air conditioning, and interior upholstery. The center can also manage vehicles that have experienced minor accidents, alcohol interlock devices, and tachographs.

Moreover, meeting European standards, the center contains a dedicated inspection line for annual PKK checks required in Norway, equipped with a 31.5-meter pit, 16-ton pit jacks, and equipment for brake, lighting, lateral drift, and OBD system checks to ensure compliance with safety devices and diagnostics.

By conducting inspections, diagnostics, and safety checks on-site, the center aims to help customers reduce fleet downtime and operating costs.

Extensive Spare Parts Availability

The spare parts warehouse at the center encompasses 2,300 square meters dedicated to over 4,500 different Yutong original parts for batteries, motors, electronic control systems, drivetrains, chassis, steering, pneumatic and hydraulic components, interior and exterior trims, wear parts, and maintenance consumables. This local stocking, supported by regional distribution centers, is designed to shorten parts supply and repair times, thus improving vehicle availability and minimizing downtime losses.

Each part adheres to rigorous quality and warranty standards and is backed by a local engineering team responsible for parts supply, diagnostics, and maintenance services.

Developing Local Expertise

Beyond just repairs, Yutong is committed to developing local expertise through service training and ongoing fleet support. The facility includes both theoretical and practical training rooms, where courses are taught by experienced trainers. It features comprehensive training platforms tailored specifically for 100% electric buses, including specialized units for air conditioning, EBS braking systems, heating, battery systems, engines, and electronic control systems, as well as rear axle disassembly training. Utilizing real vehicle components for training allows client maintenance technicians to apply what they have learned directly to actual repairs.

By building a local team, standardized maintenance processes, spare parts availability, and training capability, Yutong continues its global service commitment, "EnRoute+.” As its first comprehensive service center in Europe, this facility emphasizes the company's long-term commitment to servicing its European customers.

With the backing of this Norwegian service center, Yutong plans to tailor its service approach to local needs in markets such as the Netherlands, Chile, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia. These efforts will strengthen local repair, maintenance, and inspection capabilities for electric buses, enhance service responsiveness, create high-quality local jobs, and support the transition to low-emission public transport.
