ICP DAS-BMP at WHX Dubai 2026
From February 9 to 12, 2026, ICP DAS-BMP (Biomedical Polymers), a Taiwanese manufacturer of medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), will be participating in WHX Dubai 2026, formerly known as Arab Health. Visitors can find the ICP DAS-BMP team at Stand S7C117.
This year's event will feature significant innovations that address critical needs in medical device manufacturing: the Low Migration Series and the Low Friction Series of TPU materials.
Low Migration Arothane™ ARP-B20 TPU
The Arothane™ ARP-B20 is designed to meet ISO 10993 standards and is suitable for implantation periods of up to 90 days. It minimizes additive migration during processing, which helps maintain a smooth surface for catheters throughout their shelf life. Additionally, it offers various color options for flexible, customized designs.
Low Friction Series
The Low Friction Series is engineered to eliminate the need for additional coatings or finishing processes. Completely made of TPU and free from PFAS or plasticizers, these products provide long-lasting stability without surface exudation or additive migration. Their low-friction properties make them ideal for applications requiring smooth placement, such as guidewire nasogastric tubes, ensuring safety and performance during storage and use.
Diverse TPU Portfolio
ICP DAS-BMP will also showcase a wide range of TPU options tailored for various medical applications. The ARP, ALP, and ALC series are classified under ISO 10993-1 for Limited (less than 24 hours), Long-term (24 hours-30 days), and Extended (>30 days) contact durations. For radiopaque applications, the ARP-B20 and ALC-B40 (qualified for 90-day implants) and the ARP-W/WG series (with 40-60% tungsten) provide enhanced visibility for invasive or implantable devices.
The Engineering Arothane™ EARP series, known for its clarity and mechanical durability, is ideal for orthodontic components, Luer-Lock connectors, and other precision medical devices.
Together, these materials highlight ICP DAS-BMP's commitment to developing safer, more reliable, and versatile TPU solutions that assist medical device manufacturers in addressing the evolving needs of healthcare.
