On September 4th and 5th, 2026, the 'Revitalization Supporting Hometown Market' will take place at the KITTE Marunouchi, directly connected to Tokyo Station. This event, organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, aims to support the recovery of areas heavily affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

Event Highlights


The motto for this year’s event is "Your 'Delicious' Powers the Strength of Reconstruction!" Visitors can sample and purchase seasonal fruits, traditional sweets, and more from Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ishikawa. By tasting these local delicacies, you can experience the charm of the regions while supporting the ongoing efforts for revitalization.

Featured Products:

  • - Iwate Prefecture:
- Nanbu Senbei: A delicious treat made from a variety of seeds, including sesame and peanuts, sold in sets.
- Early Variety Apples: Enjoy the unique flavors of three types of apples: "Sansa," "Kioh," and "Tsugaru."

  • - Miyagi Prefecture:
- Butter Mochi: This sweet features red bean paste made with Hokkaido adzuki beans and a delightful touch of French salt, creating a perfect sweet-salty sensation.
- Pears: Juicy and refreshing, these fresh pears are incredibly popular, especially last year.

  • - Fukushima Prefecture:
- Peaches: Representing the "Fruit Kingdom of Fukushima," these seasonal peaches are a must-try.
- Grapes: The native black grape 'Azuma Shizuku' is renowned for its soft flesh, rich sweetness, and aromatic essence.

Additionally, there will be numerous other products available. Please note that availability may vary due to weather or transportation conditions.

Beyond Shopping


The event is not just a marketplace; it also focuses on tourism promotion and provides useful information related to disaster preparedness. Attendees can enjoy two types of 360° VR experiences that simulate the recovery in the Tohoku region, as well as experiences related to flood and landslide disasters. Information will also be available on how to respond to emergencies, including when returning home may be challenging.

Note: The flood-related VR experience will only be available on September 4th.
