Confidence Apparel Unveils Hope in Motion at Navy Pier
On September 27, 2026, Confidence Apparel will host the immersive fashion event dubbed
City of Confidence: Hope in Motion at Polk Bros Park, located on Chicago's iconic Navy Pier. This initiative coincides with Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, aiming to use creativity and community engagement to convey a powerful message: hope is something that requires active participation, not a passive sentiment.
A Unique Multisensory Experience
The event, curated by Confidence Apparel in collaboration with Marisa Diaz of Navy Pier, promises to transform Polk Bros Park into a vibrant multisensory experience. Attendees can look forward to a blend of art, fashion shows, live performances, wellness activities, and interactive experiences focused on themes of hope, confidence, and emotional health. Co-founder of Confidence Apparel, Robin Harris, emphasizes that fashion serves as an essential tool for personal expression, pointing out that
"Hope in Motion is about creating an experience where people see beautiful fashion but leave feeling seen, encouraged, and connected to something meaningful.”
Notable Features of the Event
Hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Jasmine Minor, the evening will feature model and television personality Sharaun for red-carpet coverage and guest interviews. The array of activities includes live art presentations by local artist Jeffery Beckham, performances from various artists, and a spectacular runway show featuring Confidence Apparel’s latest designs. Guests can also engage in a curated VIP reception, immerse themselves in five-senses brand activations, write on the
Reflection Wall, or contribute to
Letters of Hope—an initiative designed to create a supportive narrative. The event will provide opportunities to shop exclusive merchandise and select runway pieces.
Confidence Apparel’s commitment to promoting mental well-being and community engagement is further highlighted through its non-profit arm,
Confidence Foundation. The foundation enhances this mission by leveraging fashion, entrepreneurship, and educational programming to support confidence-building initiatives amongst community members. The City of Confidence aims to create a visible platform for significant conversations surrounding hope and mental wellness.
