Invest in Others Charitable Foundation Strengthens Leadership Team
The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation (IiO), a nonprofit organization geared towards enhancing the charitable efforts of the financial services sector, has recently announced a series of strategic leadership promotions and the hiring of a new Head of Marketing and Communications. This move signifies a commitment to expanding their impact in the community and improving their operational effectiveness.
New Leadership Promotions and Appointments
In a significant internal shift, Jessica Dunham has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) from her previous position as Vice President of Programs and Operations. Dunham joined IiO in June 2014 as the Director of Programs and Communications and has played a pivotal role in the organization’s growth. Since her tenure began, IiO's annual revenue has tripled, program engagement has surged by 500%, and the percentage of revenue allocated to charitable contributions has jumped from 20% to an impressive 50%.
In her new role as COO, Dunham aims to streamline daily operations to align more closely with IiO’s mission and strategic objectives while overseeing the operational budget and various programs. Her prior experience in alumni relations and fundraising at Bentley University gives her a solid foundation as she embarks on this new journey.
Faith Bitterman has also been promoted to Director of Programs, having joined IiO as a Project Manager in August 2023, where she was instrumental in managing program administration and event planning for the annual galas. As the newly appointed Director, she is tasked with executing a newly developed three-year strategic plan that will enhance the operational effectiveness of existing programs.
Before joining IiO, Bitterman worked with the American Medical Association Foundation in various roles, which provided her significant experience in advancement and program coordination, making her an asset to the organization's strategic objectives.
Welcoming New Expertise in Marketing
Complementing these internal promotions, IiO has welcomed Emily Burns Perryman as the Head of Marketing and Communications. Perryman brings a wealth of experience in public relations and marketing; previously, she has served as the Manager of Public Relations and Communications at Inspira Financial and as the Senior Marketing Director at TechBridge Inc. Her role will involve overseeing all marketing initiatives and enhancing the integration of brand experiences across various functions including marketing, development, and programming.
Perryman will lead communication strategies aimed at raising brand awareness and visibility, which are essential as the organization expands its network of support in the financial services community.
Leadership's Vision for the Future
Barkley Payne, the President and CEO of the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, expressed gratitude for the organization's growth trajectory and the opportunity to enhance its mission of philanthropy within the financial advising community. He emphasized the indispensable roles that both Jessica and Faith play in steering the organization toward achieving its ambitious three-year strategic plan. Furthermore, he highlighted the critical role of Emily’s marketing expertise in elevating IiO’s visibility in the field.
The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation remains committed to amplifying the charitable efforts of the financial services community, providing a platform to honor and support initiatives that make a difference. As they move forward with this strengthened leadership team, their vision for making a lasting impact continues to resonate throughout the industry.
