Another Works Hosts Corporate Visit from Fujiyamadai Junior High School to Inspire Future Generations

In a bid to promote the implementation of side jobs in society, Another Works, which operates a platform connecting individuals with companies and municipalities for side jobs, hosted a corporate visit from Fujiyamadai Junior High School in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, on May 13, 2026.

Background of the Corporate Visit

Japan is undergoing a significant transformation in its employment environment due to various factors such as the aging population, declining labor force, and changes in work models. The interest in diverse career paths where individuals can display their skills and experiences through multiple jobs is steadily increasing. At the forefront of this shift is the rise of side jobs, which not only expand career options for individuals but also address talent shortages for companies and tackle regional issues. The utilization of varied human resources beyond organizational boundaries is gaining traction as a viable solution.

Since its establishment in May 2019, Another Works has been a strong proponent of side jobs as an essential working style that enables individuals to achieve multiple goals, including financial rewards, skill advancement, career development, and self-actualization. Their flagship service, the side job matching platform "Side Job Cloud," has witnessed significant growth, boasting a registered talent pool of 100,000 and over 2,500 implementations across 250 municipalities as of June 2026.

In light of these societal changes, Another Works believes it is crucial for young individuals to be aware of their career options and make informed choices from an early age. By introducing middle and high school students to the concept of working as a side gig, they can greatly expand their future possibilities.

Thus, Another Works actively welcomes visits from middle and high school students to embody their vision of maximizing opportunities for all who strive to challenge themselves. They remain committed to supporting students in crafting their unique career paths and pursuing a society where diverse working styles become the norm.
