New Painting Class Teburego Opens in Kokubunji
Teburego, an innovative painting school designed for adults, is set to open at Kokubunji Marui on November 4, 2025. Operated by Tajiro Co., Ltd., located in Uji City, Kyoto, this art space offers an inviting environment for people of all skill levels, including beginners. Its motto focuses on making painting a new, enjoyable habit for everyday life in Japan.
A New Approach to Art Classes
Teburego has emerged from the traditional Atelier Regott, boasting 35 years of experience. One of the standout features of this school is the concept of “hands-free” painting. Participants do not need to bring any materials; everything from watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, to pastels and oil paints is provided on-site. This allows individuals to easily express their creativity without the burden of carrying heavy supplies.
The school prioritizes flexibility as well, permitting students to drop in anytime during operating hours. This means that even those with tight schedules can quickly take time to create an artwork, making it a truly adaptable art space. Following its successful launches in Gion Shijo, Kyoto, and Umeda, Osaka, the introduction of the Kokubunji location marks a significant expansion for Teburego, which has now opened five branches along the Yamanote Line since January this year.
Exceptional Materials and Guided Instruction
At the Kokubunji Marui location, students will have access to high-quality materials curated by experienced artists, including brands like Rembrandt and Holbein. This enables participants to engage in serious artistic creation while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Moreover, the instruction at Teburego is provided by dedicated teachers who are eager to enhance their skills through frequent training sessions. With an acceptance rate of just 8%, the school prides itself in having passionate and knowledgeable instructors. Feedback from current students highlights the high teaching quality as a primary reason for selecting this school.
Convenient Location and Open Access
Conveniently located near Kokubunji Station’s south exit, the school is easily accessible, which is a common trait among all Teburego branches. In case of scheduling conflicts or absences, students can attend classes at any of the nine locations across Tokyo and Osaka, including Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and Ginza, further supporting a stress-free artistic journey.
A series of introduction and experience sessions will be held from November 4 to 10 in conjunction with the grand opening. These sessions aim to provide potential students with a taste of what to expect, offering a friendly atmosphere for those who might be anxious about their artistic abilities.
