The fair runs from September 9 to September 23, 2023, promoting the famous Niji Pear (二十世紀梨), renowned for its exceptional sweetness and juiciness.

As the leading producer of Niji Pear in Japan, Tottori Prefecture is proud of its agricultural heritage and recent harvest. On August 22, 2023, in the coastal town of Yunohama, a quality inspection revealed that this year's average sugar content reached an impressive 11.7 degrees, the highest recorded since 2006. This outstanding result is attributed to favorable weather conditions and the relentless dedication of local farmers, ensuring that these pears are not only abundantly sweet but also visually stunning with 77.3% classified as the top grade, "Akahyu".

The highlight of the Tottori Pear Fair is an immersive experience where attendees can enjoy the excitement of filling cups with fresh pear juice from a real tap! For just 500 yen, visitors can partake in this deliciously unique activity available during the fair's run.
