FIRSTHABIT Concludes CHALK AI Math Challenge at CES 2026

The CES 2026, the world's premier consumer electronics and IT exhibition, served as the backdrop for FIRSTHABIT's impressive CHALK AI Math Challenge. Running from January 12 to 14 in Las Vegas, this event highlighted the potential of AI-driven educational platforms, engaging a diverse pool of participants and demonstrating groundbreaking approaches to learning.

FIRSTHABIT, a leading name in the edtech sector, successfully concluded this event, which attracted a remarkable 327 competitors throughout its three-day run at the Eureka Park section of the Venetian Expo. Attendees lined up to participate, showcasing not just interest but also enthusiasm for the interactive math competition, which quickly became one of the most popular programs at CES.

Experience of AI-Driven Learning

Designed to immerse participants in an AI-enhanced learning experience, the CHALK AI Math Challenge utilized FIRSTHABIT's proprietary AI learning platform, known as CHALK. It assessed participants' problem-solving skills in real-time through a series of structured problems. This design provided instant feedback while adapting to individual skill levels, echoing FIRSTHABIT's commitment to transformative educational outcomes.

Participants represented a wide age and experience spectrum, clearly reflecting the growing interest in innovative educational tools. A highlight of the competition was the return of last year's champion, adding an element of continuity to the excitement. However, many new winners emerged, showcasing the talent and skill present at the event.

Winners of the Challenge

The competition featured three leagues categorized by difficulty: Expert, Proficient, and Novice.
  • - Expert League: The first-place winner was Jinseok Choi, a mechanical engineering student from Seoul National University and a graduate of Seoul Science High School, who won an 11-inch iPad Pro. Choi remarked on the clarity brought forth by the AI's visual structuring of problem-solving processes.
  • - Proficient League: Fadi Ibsies, a practicing dentist in the United States and operator of an AI-related company, took home the top prize, AirPods Max. He emphasized the competition's focus on the reasoning process rather than just the answers, highlighting its potential for professional learning environments.
  • - Novice League: Juneseok Lee, a physics major at POSTECH and graduate of Hansung Science High School, emerged victorious, receiving AirPods Pro for his achievement. Lee noted that the experience was accessible even without substantial background knowledge, thanks to the clear visual explanations provided by CHALK.

To celebrate their participation, all entrants received commemorative gifts, including keychains featuring the CHALK character and a reusable bag.

Paving the Way for Future Learning

As part of FIRSTHABIT's commitment to revolutionizing education through technology, the CHALK AI Math Challenge exemplified how interactive programming can resonate globally. The use of AI in educational tools is not just about engagement; it's about fostering deeper understanding and retaining knowledge through innovative means.

FIRSTHABIT plans to expand its reach and continue enhancing AI-driven learning experiences through additional programs and initiatives formed around the CHALK platform. The educational landscape is evolving, and FIRSTHABIT is at the forefront of this transformation, connecting effectively with the global market and setting a standard for future learning technologies.
