GoodWe Elevates Energy Storage Solutions with Easy Installations in Frankfurt Launch Event
GoodWe ESA Series Launch Event in Frankfurt
On May 25, 2026, GoodWe hosted its European launch event for the ESA All-in-One energy storage system in Frankfurt. This event gathered around 100 industry experts, installers, and partners under the theme "From Puzzle to Power, a Matter of Minutes." The main objective was to demonstrate the ease of installation and user-friendly design of the ESA series. The presentation highlighted GoodWe's commitment to advancing residential energy storage solutions, emphasizing the company’s evolutionary 4 S system that focuses on quiet, smart, secure, and simple products.
Commitment to the European Market
Jie Zhang, General Manager of GoodWe Europe, emphasized the company's dedication to the European market by stating their unwavering focus on the residential and storage sectors. GoodWe continues to invest in local teams, services, and partnerships, aiming to establish long-term relationships with installers, distributors, and end-users. As GoodWe considers Europe a strategic market, they are committed to developing solutions that directly address local market needs.
Simplifying Energy Storage Installation
The ESA series aims to tackle common challenges faced by conventional energy storage systems, particularly the complexities of setup and high labor costs. Thanks to its all-in-one architecture, GoodWe's ESA system allows homeowners to more easily harness renewable energies, simultaneously helping installers enhance their operational efficiency and competitiveness. Traditional installations often involve complex connections and configurations, but the ESA's streamlined design simplifies the entire installation process. With minimal connections required, there is less cabling needed, leading to cleaner installations. Moreover, an integrated meter and dual-port design further simplify the installation process, allowing for easier system expansions.
To validate the ESA series' installation efficiency and repair ease, TÜV Rheinland conducted a thorough assessment, confirming compliance with the technical specifications for usability for household appliances in these areas.
Insights into the German Market
Market analysts from SP Global presented a compelling overview of the current state of the German market during the event. As of now, Germany is the world's largest grid-connected photovoltaic market and is expected to maintain this position through the end of the decade. Current political shifts, especially the phasing out of feed-in tariffs, are expected to benefit the home storage market as self-consumption becomes the new norm.
Though the residential storage sector is well-developed and rapidly catching up to photovoltaic capacity, the commercial storage market is still emerging. Analysts predict that advancements in hardware, connected software, and resulting business models will stimulate significant growth in the commercial storage market in the coming years.
GoodWe has expanded its product offerings to include inverters, storage systems (ESA series), photovoltaic building materials (PVBM) such as carports, EV chargers, and heat pumps, all supported by energy management systems (SEMS+), compatibility with virtual power plants (VPP), and dynamic tariff optimization.
The company also provides solutions for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, from small backup systems to grid formation and complete islanding operations.
Installation Challenge Demonstrating Usability
During the event, installers got involved firsthand with the ESA energy storage system by participating in an installation challenge. The activity was designed to assess installation speed, user-friendliness, commissioning processes, and accuracy. The contest featured a 13-step installation process, beginning from component preparation to commissioning the system. Eight teams of installers participated, with one team finishing the installation of the complete system—comprising three battery modules, an inverter, a communication module, and AC and DC connections—in an astonishing 2 minutes and 45 seconds. This team, which has been installing GoodWe systems in Germany for years, expressed their admiration for the installation process's simplicity.
GoodWe's innovative focus on user-friendly energy storage solutions continues to transform the domestic energy landscape, advancing the opportunities for both installers and homeowners to embrace renewable energy effectively.
