New Visions for the Future: The China-CEEC Expo
On May 22, 2025, the bustling city of Ningbo in Zhejiang province inaugurated the 4th China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair. The expo, themed “New Visions for the Future,” has already seen an impressive turnout with over 15,000 professional visitors from 72 countries. Companies present at the event are anticipating import purchase intentions that will exceed 10 billion yuan.
A Wide Array of Exhibits
Spanning an area of 80,000 square meters, the fair is divided into two primary sections: the CEEC exhibition zone and the export consumer goods zone. The CEEC section, covering 20,000 square meters, showcases more than 400 exhibitors featuring over 8,000 unique products. Attendees will find a delightful assortment ranging from Czech beer, Slovenian honey, to Hungarian down products and Slovenian skiing equipment.
Conversely, the export consumer goods zone boasts more than 1,000 Chinese enterprises unveiling high-quality items that include consumer products and smart technologies. Global buyers will find an engaging showcase of advancements that highlight industry innovation and potential partnerships.
Engaging Events and Discussions
Throughout the expo, numerous activities are scheduled, focusing on fostering business networks and facilitating exchanges between member states. Notably, conferences such as the China-CEEC Chamber of Commerce Joint Meeting and the 7th Dialogue on Cooperation in Customs, Inspection, and Quarantine Areas aim to deepen regulatory alignment among participating nations. Furthermore, the China-CEEC Mayors Forum 2025 will address the development of new paradigms in urban governance, contributing to a more interconnected future.
An intriguing highlight is the China-CEEC International Regatta, which promotes interpersonal exchanges and cultural interaction.
A Future-Focused Approach
The expo is also introducing interactive activities such as the hybrid 'Hi-Go CEEC Product Shopping Festival', which combines online and offline experiences. This year, Slovenia and Slovakia take the honor as guest nations, joining full participation from all 14 countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Additionally, exhibitors from nine new countries—including the UK, France, and Germany—have made their debut at this significant gathering.
Esteemed organizations such as the World Bank, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, alongside renowned companies including Sanofi, Novartis, and Morgan Stanley, have also been invited to participate.
Looking ahead, the expo aims to leverage greater potential and expand collaboration opportunities. By implementing regulated exchange and cooperation mechanisms, it endeavors to tap into new possibilities surrounding industrial transformation and investment.
The 4th China-CEEC Expo is not just an exhibition; it represents a dynamic platform for engaging dialogue, forging business partnerships, and envisioning a collaborative future that strengthens ties between China and Central and Eastern European countries. As we align our visions and approaches, the potential for mutual growth and innovation is boundless.
