Huasun Energy Introduces Groundbreaking 760W Heterojunction Solar Module

Huasun Energy Unveils the Himalaya 760 HV Solar Module

Huasun Energy has made a significant leap in solar technology with the recent launch of their Himalaya 760 HV heterojunction (HJT) solar module. This cutting-edge product boasts a power output of 760 watts and an impressive efficiency rating of 24.5%. With an operational system voltage of 2000 volts, the Himalaya 760 HV is raising the bar for solar modules, pushing the boundaries of what's achievable in renewable energy.

A Game-Changer in Solar Energy

Upon its unveiling, Xu Xiaohua, the President of Huasun Energy, highlighted that this module marks the beginning of a new phase in the photovoltaic industry. He emphasized that the key drivers of competition in the sector are cost reduction and overall lifecycle value. Designed mainly for utility-scale projects and desert applications, the Himalaya 760 HV module allows for higher efficiency and facilitates high-voltage operations, optimizing project profitability.

This module supports a system voltage increase from the standard 1500V to 2000V. This shift offers substantial system-level optimization. In simulated utility projects, it has shown verified benefits, such as:
  • - BOS Cost Reduction: Approximately 0.1157 RMB/W (around 0.016 USD/W) for a 100 MVA project in Hami, Xinjiang.
  • - Foundation Pile Demand Reduction: Over 5,000 fewer units required.
  • - Land Use Efficiency Improvement: Enhanced space utilization.

Furthermore, when compared to a 725W TOPCon system operating at 1500V, switching to the HJT 760W module at 2000V reflects:
  • - BOS Cost Savings: 0.1521 RMB/W (around 0.021 USD/W) reduction.
  • - An approximate 11.95% decrease in BOS expenses.
  • - A boost of 0.86 percentage points in project returns on investment (ROI).

These performance gains facilitate greater ROI for large-scale solar initiatives, essential for market competitiveness.

Advanced Design for Elevated Performance and Scalability

The Himalaya 760 HV module incorporates several design advancements, including:
  • - Double-String Design: Utilizes 132 half-cells for superior output.
  • - Larger Silicon Wafers: Enhanced material efficiency.
  • - Negative Spacing Design: Functions to increase power output and efficiency further.
  • - High Grid Coverage: Maximizes surface area utilization, achieving a 95.8% active surface ratio.

As a result of these innovations, an additional power gain of approximately 20W and a 0.66% efficiency improvement can be achieved compared to earlier models.

To ensure operational safety at high voltages, the module employs an innovative edge-sealing process with butyl. This enhances insulation without compromising efficiency levels. Furthermore, the Himalaya 760 HV is designed to be fully compatible with existing high-efficiency production lines, requiring only minor adjustments for rapid and consistent mass production.

Setting New Standards for the Solar Industry

With its groundbreaking specifications—a 760W output, 24.5% efficiency, and the advanced 2000V platform—the Himalaya 760 HV sets a new standard for next-generation utility-scale photovoltaic systems. Xu Xiaohua stated, "The 760W output is not a conclusion but a new beginning. This platform will continue to evolve toward higher power, greater efficiency, and greater value, propelling the global transition to clean energy."
