The project began in 2011, ignited by the compassion of local artisans who wanted to help children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Over time, it gained momentum with support from companies like Mother Dictionary, which helped refine operational strategies. What started as a small gesture evolved into a robust initiative that provides heartfelt items to children and youth facing various circumstances.

Since 2020, the 'Dish and Clothing Handout' has provided foster care youth with the opportunity to choose their own dishes and clothes as they prepare for newfound independence.
