Modine Expands Workforce Due to Data Center Business Growth in Franklin

Modine's Hiring Push: Fueling Growth in Franklin

In response to increasing demand in the data center sector, Modine, a prominent player in thermal management technology, is taking significant steps to expand its workforce at the newly established Franklin facility located at 3303 W. Oakwood Rd. Starting from early November, this facility will soon begin production, and Modine is on a hiring spree, looking to fill over 55 immediate job openings across various roles. These positions range from entry-level production assemblers and certified welders to production leaders and engineers, catering to a spectrum of advanced manufacturing competencies.

The Expansion of Modine's Operations

Earlier this year, Modine signed a lease for the expansive 153,000-square-foot plant in Franklin, and with an ambitious plan in place, it aims to employ around 300 staff members by the end of March 2026. This substantial workforce growth is primarily motivated by the advancements seen in Modine’s North American data center business. According to Ashley Arner, Human Resources Director for Data Centers at Modine, "With the exciting growth in data centers driving demand for our products, we encourage those who are looking for a good-paying job with excellent benefits to attend our career fair or apply online to learn about the positions that might be a fit for you."

A Career Fair to Connect Talent

To facilitate hiring, Modine is organizing a career fair on September 25 and 26. Interested candidates can take advantage of this opportunity to have on-the-spot interviews and even receive initial job offers. Those in attendance are encouraged to register in advance or simply walk in, as the company is striving to attract both experienced professionals and those wishing to enter the workforce.

For production assemblers, hourly pay starts at $22, while certified welders can expect to earn $32 an hour. All incoming hires will also enjoy health insurance and additional benefits right from their first day.

Investment in the Future

This hiring phase is backed by a significant investment as well. Modine has announced a $100 million initiative over the next 12-18 months to bolster U.S. manufacturing capacity specifically for its Airedale by Modine™ data center cooling products. This investment is set to enhance manufacturing operations across several locations, including Dallas, TX, Grenada, MS, Franklin, WI, and Jefferson City, MO. It is also aimed at improving engineering capabilities, product development, testing capabilities, and creating new opportunities for job growth within the existing workforce.

Looking Ahead

As part of its recruitment efforts, Modine is launching a comprehensive outdoor advertising campaign featuring recruitment billboards around the Milwaukee area, showcasing job openings and inviting potential applicants to join the team. Individuals can find job listings, including those for assembler and certified welder positions, on the Modine careers website.
