Check Your Self-Care Skills with the New National Self-Care Certification Quiz

Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Inc., based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has launched an innovative web content titled "National Unified Self-Care Certification". Released on October 22, this interactive quiz format allows users to have fun while learning about health information. The company aims to promote a future where people, society, and the planet remain healthy for the next 100 years through its sustainability initiatives.

The "Self-Care Academy" program focuses on enhancing individuals' self-care abilities—their capacity to maintain and manage their health independently—while improving health literacy, which is the skill to discern accurate health information. The academy has previously introduced educational opportunities through outreach programs to high schools and virtual courses in the metaverse. The newly developed certification quiz represents the third initiative aimed at encouraging young people to assess their self-care skills.

This entertaining quiz not only checks self-care capabilities through 15 questions but also introduces 17 unique character types that reflect the user's results. This engaging format captures the interest of younger demographics, particularly given the prevalence of misinformation surrounding health topics.

Additionally, to promote greater public interest in self-care, the company is launching a campaign that allows participants to share their quiz results on social media for a chance to win a package of Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare products.

The launch of this certification quiz aligns with rising concerns regarding misinformation as social media and AI technology become widely adopted. Recent studies show that Generation Z (aged 15-29) expresses greater trust in health-related posts on social platforms compared to older generations, making accurate health information increasingly vital.

Data indicates that Generation Z is twice as likely to trust influencer-created health content. Furthermore, they encounter misinformation at significantly higher rates than older cohorts, underscoring the importance of improving health literacy among this group. Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare views this initiative as a crucial mission to mitigate the risks related to inaccurate health information amongst younger generations.

Overview of the National Unified Self-Care Certification

The certification comprises 15 questions covering various categories, including medication knowledge, nutrition, exercise, lifestyle habits, and beauty. The quiz is designed to be easily accessed via computers or smartphones and is available for free. It aims to serve as a reliable resource for young people and digital natives who are often vulnerable to false information.

After completing the quiz, users will receive a scorecard indicating their correct answer count along with a radar chart displaying their self-care strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the results, participants will also encounter illustrations of their self-care type, designed by artist Kirika Kozuki. These friendly characters aim to make learning about self-care more enjoyable and encourage participants to explore their own self-care narratives.

Full details about the certification can be found at National Unified Self-Care Certification website.

Share Your Results Campaign

To celebrate the launch of this certification, Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare is hosting a campaign that will reward 50 lucky participants with a bundle of health products for sharing their quiz results on X (formerly Twitter). During the campaign period, a national ranking will also be displayed.

How to Enter the Campaign

Upon completing the certification quiz, participants will see their result page with an option to share on X. By selecting this option and using the hashtag #セルフケア検定 in their post, they will be entered into the sweepstakes.

Campaign Period

The campaign runs from October 22, 2025, to November 28, 2025, at 5 PM.
