The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is poised to host a grand event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Advertising Hall of Fame (AHOF) on April 23, 2026. This prestigious gala, aptly termed 'The Biggest Night in Advertising,' will take place at the iconic Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, marking a significant milestone in the world of advertising.
Honoring Industry Legends
The AAF's esteemed Council of Judges, chaired by Ross Martin, President of Known, and Vice Chair Rita Ferro, President of Disney Advertising, has meticulously selected a distinguished group of inductees to the AAF Advertising Hall of Fame. This year's inductees include six legendary industry leaders, one corporate honoree, and two special recipients of the President's Award. The chosen leaders have made monumental contributions, driving innovation and setting a benchmark for excellence in the industry.
Meet the Inductees
Among the inductees is
Gordon Bowen, the visionary founder of mcgarrybowen and creative chairman of Dentsu Creative. Bowen has reshaped the advertising space with his storytelling prowess, influencing campaigns for powerhouses like American Express and Disney.
Another remarkable inductee is
Esi Eggleston Bracey, Global Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at Unilever. Bracey is celebrated not only for her marketing brilliance but also for her commitment to diversity and inclusion, advocating for legislative changes such as the CROWN Act.
Susan Fowler Credle, Global Creative Advisor for Interpublic and former chair at FCB, began her career in advertising as a receptionist, eventually transcending to creative heights. She emphasized the importance of inclusive narratives, influencing iconic campaigns like Allstate’s 'Mayhem.'
David Droga, Vice Chair of Accenture and founder of Droga5, redefined creativity in advertising, earning impressive accolades at Cannes. His pioneering efforts have expanded the scope of what a creative leader can achieve.
Tim Ellis, CMO of the NFL, is credited for humanizing the NFL brand, increasing its cultural relevance, and enhancing its global fan base. His previous roles at Activision Blizzard and major automotive brands also showcased his exceptional marketing insights.
Jim Stengel, the former Global Marketing Officer for Procter & Gamble, has influenced the industry as a 'CMO's CMO,' driving purpose-driven strategies that prioritize consumer engagement and community impact.
Corporate Honoree and President’s Awards
In addition to individual achievements,
American Express will be celebrated as this year's corporate inductee. Their commitment to fostering community initiatives and innovative marketing strategies allows them to maintain enduring connections with customers across diverse generations.
Furthermore, for the first time, two President's Awards will be awarded to public figures making a significant impact on advertising from outside the industry. This year’s recipients include the legendary
Barry Manilow, known for his iconic jingles, and the inspiring
Marlo Thomas, recognized for her cultural contributions and philanthropic efforts.
