L'Occitane Supports Women's Empowerment with Mimosa Bouquet Campaign
In celebration of International Women's Day, L'Occitane is launching a special three-day campaign, offering vibrant mini Mimosa bouquets in select stores. This initiative is part of L'Occitane's ongoing commitment to empowering women, showcasing their dedication to social responsibility and support for gender equality.
From March 6 to March 8, customers purchasing L'Occitane products worth over 6,600 yen will receive a complimentary mini bouquet of Mimosa flowers, while supplies last. Participating locations include the Shinjuku Isetan store, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and others in major cities such as Shibuya and Osaka. This initiative not only highlights the beauty of Mimosa flowers but also serves as an encouragement to women, celebrating their efforts and achievements around the world.
L'Occitane's Mimosa series, launched on February 25, is a limited edition that captures the essence of spring. The aromatic fragrance of Mimosa, known for bringing happiness and positive energy, has been beautifully incorporated into products like eau de toilette, shower gel, body milk, and hand cream. Each purchase of these items contributes to the brand’s philanthropic endeavors, directly supporting various women’s empowerment activities globally.
For years, L'Occitane has championed women's independence through fair-trade initiatives, particularly in Burkina Faso, where women cultivate shea butter. The company dedicates a portion of their profits to assist over 60,000 women worldwide by providing access to education and vocational training. Additionally, in Japan, they actively engage in local gender equality issues by supporting workshops organized by the NPO 'Women’s Eye' and donating gifts to mother-child support facilities.
This year, L'Occitane has pledged to donate part of the sales from the Mimosa series to the HAPPY WOMAN® fund, a charity focused on realizing gender equality. This commitment showcases the brand’s dedication not just within Japan but globally, as they strive to uplift women through various initiatives.
The tradition of gifting Mimosa flowers on International Women's Day originated in Europe as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for women. With L'Occitane’s campaign, customers are encouraged to share their heartfelt messages of support with the Mimosa bouquet, which serves as a thoughtful gift to oneself or loved ones embarking on new journeys this spring.
