A Powerful Partnership: Hard Rock International and Shakira



On February 28, 2025, Hard Rock International announced a ground-breaking partnership with global superstar Shakira to celebrate International Women's Month, culminating in a year-long initiative dedicated to empowering women worldwide. This collaboration aims to inspire women to share their stories, embrace their authentic selves, and unite through the transformative power of music.

A Comprehensive Initiative


To mark the celebration, Hard Rock plans to host 1,000 performances led by women throughout the year. In conjunction with these events, contributions will be raised for the Hard Rock Heals Foundation®. Notably, part of the funds generated will support Shakira's Pies Descalzos Foundation, which focuses on educating and uplifting girls in Colombia's at-risk communities, alongside various local women's organizations. As a significant gesture of support, Hard Rock Heals has pledged $250,000 to the Pies Descalzos Foundation, allowing it to continue its crucial work.

Shakira’s Vision


Shakira articulated her excitement regarding this partnership, emphasizing Hard Rock’s historical commitment to use music as a means of empowering women. "By joining forces, we can leverage our voices to break through barriers and foster an inclusive world where every woman feels empowered," she stated during the announcement.

This collaboration will see Shakira's signature dishes available at Hard Rock Cafes globally, featuring items like the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ cocktail, which mixed Tequila, elderflower liqueur, strawberries, and cucumbers, along with other culinary delights such as the Chicken Fattoush Salad, reflecting her Lebanese heritage.

Furthermore, Shakira will also promote the official merchandise for International Women’s Month, including a T-shirt, hoodie, and pins available at Hard Rock’s Rock Shops and their online portal.

A Commitment to Empowerment


Elena Alvarez, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Partnerships at Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International, highlighted the shared values between Hard Rock and Shakira. The collaboration not only celebrates music but also recognizes the resilience and voices of women through various activities, including concerts and special events like the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Album Release Party.

As part of the year-long celebration, Hard Rock Hotels invites guests to connect with female artists through the exclusive Sound of Your Stay® program. This initiative allows patrons to stream Spotify playlists curated solely by women, enhancing their stays with beautiful music selections. In addition, visitors can borrow records from ten renowned female artists, bringing their musical inclinations to life in their hotel rooms.
