Kubota's 2026 Hometown Proud Grant Program Fuels Community Growth

Kubota Tractor Corporation has recently announced an exciting chapter in its ongoing support for communities across the United States with the 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud® Grant Program. This initiative, which has evolved remarkably over the past six years, reflects Kubota’s dedication to empowering local organizations that are committed to fostering positive change in their neighborhoods.

With an impressive $500,000 total investment this year, the program stands as a beacon of hope for various community-based nonprofits, each chosen for their innovative proposals aimed at addressing local needs. Each of the ten selected organizations will receive $25,000 in cash and an additional $25,000 worth of Kubota equipment, which together can significantly enhance their operational capabilities and outreach.

This year's grant recipients represent a broad spectrum of community-focused projects that highlight the diversity of local needs. From enhancing agricultural education to bolstering food security and promoting environmental stewardship, these initiatives promise to uplift communities coast to coast.

According to Alex Woods, President of Kubota Tractor Corporation, the Hometown Proud program embodies the company's unwavering commitment to support the regions where its customers and dealers live and work. He emphasizes, "Our dealers are the heart of this program, and we believe in investing in programs that matter to their communities. With their support, we're able to deliver not just funding, but also equipment and a sustainable relationship for ongoing success.”

Highlighting the Grant Winners

The competition for the grants was robust, with over 1,100 applications received this year alone. After careful consideration, the ten grant winners were selected based on their distinct and impactful community projects. Let’s delve into some notable winners:

1. The Armored Church (Salisbury, N.C.)
In partnership with Sink Farm Equipment, this project will use a new Kubota compact tractor to cultivate a 20-acre community garden dedicated to honoring veterans.

2. Friends of Greenfield Recreation (Greenfield, Mass.)
Partnering with M.B. Tractor Equipment, this initiative aims to beautify Greenfield through the Greenfield Grow and Go project, utilizing a Kubota RTV to mobilize volunteers effectively.

3. Galloway Family Farm Education Center (Ocean Springs, Miss.)
Collaborating with Lee Tractor Company, this nonprofit implements its Adopt-a-Row project with the help of a Kubota sub-compact tractor to support sustainable agricultural education.

4. HALTER (Spartanburg, S.C.)
This organization will utilize the grant, in partnership with Blue Water Equipment Group, to purchase a Kubota RTV for the care of equine-assisted service facilities, expanding their access to wellness services.

5. Helpful Harvest Food Bank Inc. (Athens, W.Va.)
Working with State Equipment, this nonprofit plans to enhance food security by acquiring a new Kubota M4 utility tractor, which will support food production initiatives for vulnerable families.

Every nonprofit has a unique story that showcases their commitment to their communities. For instance, the Impact Activity Center in Boonville, Missouri, is turning a historic school into a vibrant hub for community interaction. This transformation is supported by a Kubota compact tractor and zero-turn mower, empowering the community to maintain garden spaces and green areas effectively.

As part of the program, each local Kubota dealer not only supplies essential machinery but also extends expertise and fosters ongoing relationships with these organizations, ensuring continued support well beyond the grant period. "We're honored to be part of this program that has a very direct local impact," shared Joe Reister, Store Manager at Pelican Tractor in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The Kubota Hometown Proud grant program is more than a financial contribution; it’s a partnership that intertwines corporate investment with local knowledge and passion.
