Major Upcoming Updates for Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed exciting updates for their online-exclusive game, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2, launching on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Starting April 30, players can expect two iconic Gundams to be introduced to the PS5/PS4 version, with the upcoming addition of the God Gundam and Freedom Gundam—previously available on Steam. To celebrate, a Golden Week campaign will kick off on April 30 at 2 PM.

New Gundams Arriving

The highly anticipated God Gundam from the series Mobile Fighter G Gundam will arrive as a ground and space assault unit at a cost of 700 points, set to launch on April 30 at 2 PM. The unit will feature unique skills like Hyper Mode Level 1 and Meikyo Shisui Level 1, alongside formidable combat capabilities such as the Heavy Attack and God Slash. If you enjoy aerial combat, you’ll be pleased to know these attacks can be executed in mid-air, bringing a whole new dimension to battles.

Following on May 7, the Freedom Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED will also make its debut as a versatile unit priced similarly. This Gundam will come equipped with Phase Shift Armor and HiMAT Mode, alongside enhanced features from the existing model, ensuring high-speed aerial confrontations.

Both units' performance adjustments will be available on the Steam version around the same time, so all pilots can prepare for battle!

Special Events and Campaigns

In addition to the new units, the Golden Week Campaign will feature various promotions. A special God Gundam lottery will be available, where players can secure the new unit from the God Gundam Guaranteed STEP-UP Lottery. During this period, unique custom parts will also be introduced, enticing players to join the action.

Moreover, events exclusively designed for the Steam version will celebrate the upcoming anniversary with the 3rd Anniversary Month Festival starting after the maintenance on April 30. Players can expect new high-level units along with exciting opportunities to participate in lottery requests for new units until May 6.

For those who have yet to experience the thrill of Gundam Battle Operation 2, the game allows for up to 12 players in intense 6v6 battles featuring over 540 iconic mobile suits, both online and offline.
