Ginza to Host Unique Collaboration with Parisian Restaurant MAISON for a Special Culinary Experience

Experience Unique Japanese-Western Cuisine in Ginza

Ginza is set to be the host of an extraordinary culinary event featuring Restaurant MAISON, led by Chef Sota Atsumi from Paris. This special collaboration titled '1/2 (Nibun no Ichi) × MAISON' will take place at Ginza Sony Park from February 19 to 22, 2026. The event promises to serve exclusive half-plates and desserts that reinterpret traditional Japanese Western cuisine, accompanied by the first-ever chocolate caramel developed by MAISON.

Event Details

This pop-up event will showcase a unique dining concept where each plate consists of two smaller dishes, allowing patrons to enjoy a variety of flavors without the overwhelming portion size. With a theme centered on Japan’s Western-style cuisine, Chef Atsumi aims to provide a fresh perspective through this collaboration. Guests will have the chance to delight in five specially crafted 1/2-plates, available for a cost starting at 1,650 yen. Some dish examples include fried oysters served with blood pudding and flaky chicken served in two ways.

What to Expect

The '1/2 (Nibun no Ichi)' restaurant captures the philosophy of 'a little less is good', where dishes are designed not just to fill but to create a more profound appreciation for the ingredients and their stories. The collaboration takes place during a time when Ginza Sony Park embraces exploration and creativity in its dining experiences, building on years of partnerships and culinary initiatives.

Moreover, ahead of the event starting on February 11, guests can purchase the 'Caramel MAISON Cru Chocolate Version', a unique chocolate caramel crafted with the collaboration of MAISON and Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate. This treat was created specifically for the event and will be available for 4,500 yen for a pack of nine.

MAISON's Philosophy

Restaurant MAISON, founded by Chef Atsumi in 2019 in the 11th district of Paris, emphasizes the beauty and sincerity of ingredient selection. The establishment is known for its fire-cooked dishes and a commitment to utilizing high-quality raw materials sourced directly from producers across France. With each component hand-crafted and prepared meticulously, MAISON believes delicious cuisine comes from quality ingredients, creating a memorable dining experience.

The MAISON concept stems from a desire to welcome customers as if they were family. The name 'MAISON' translates to 'house' in French, symbolizing warmth and hospitality. Notably, the restaurant has developed a chocolate version of its caramel thanks to a collaboration with Minimal, which shares similar values around ingredient quality and craftsmanship.

The spirit of connection and creativity is at the forefront of MAISON's endeavors, encapsulating how the partnership with Ginza Sony Park has fostered this unique culinary celebration. Each dish served will reflect a journey through taste, history, and the essence of cultural exchange.
