Haier Launches Groundbreaking Horizon Refrigerator in Vietnam, Redefining Freshness and Design Standards
Haier has officially launched its premium Horizon Collection in Vietnam, introducing a revolutionary refrigerator designed to meet the specific needs of consumers in the region. This launch on May 29 marks the brand's significant expansion into the Southeast Asian market, following successful introductions in Europe. The Horizon refrigerator series emphasizes versatility and adaptability, tailored to preserve food in various conditions—especially important given Vietnam's hot and humid climate.
One of the standout features of the Horizon series is its innovative freshness preservation technology. The refrigerator is equipped with a pioneering Humidity Control System (HCS) that helps keep fruits and vegetables fresh for up to seven days while maintaining the original taste of meat for up to ten days. This groundbreaking technology has been recognized worldwide, even earning a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Inventions Exhibition for its ability to retain over 95% of meat proteins.

Sales of Haier refrigerators in the region doubled in January 2026 compared to the previous month, reflecting a remarkable growth rate exceeding 60% year-on-year. Demonstrations at retail outlets allowed customers to experience the advanced preservation technologies firsthand, propelling the Space Fit series to match competitors' in-store displays in just five weeks and significantly boosting sales.
As the leading brand in market share and growth in Vietnam, Haier is committed to expanding its product line to cater to the increasing demand for fresh food preservation with the introduction of its flagship Horizon series. Furthermore, in 2025, Haier Smart Home officially launched its brand in Vietnam and established a strategic partnership with DMX, the leading local appliance retailer. As of April 2026, Haier was ranked first in overall market share across Southeast Asia, with growth rates surpassing 40% in Vietnam, Malaysia, and other markets.
