CNTE Unveils New STAR H-MAX Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System for Industrial Use

Introduction

At the forefront of energy technology, Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE) made significant waves during the Intersolar Europe 2026 exhibition. The company showcased its latest advancement, the STAR H-MAX, an innovative energy storage system (ESS) designed specifically for commercial and industrial applications.

The STAR H-MAX Overview

The STAR H-MAX represents the next leap in energy storage capabilities, merging efficiency with practicality. It boasts a robust power capacity of 220 kW and an energy storage capacity of 440 kWh, all encapsulated in a compact design suitable for outdoor use. To meet the varying energy demands of businesses, this system is engineered for ease of installation and operation, ready to facilitate energy arbitrage, backup power, and seamless integration with existing energy management systems.

Key Features and Benefits

One of the noteworthy attributes of the STAR H-MAX is its ability to integrate advanced battery technology, utilizing CATL’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells rated at 530 Ah. This combination ensures not only longevity—over 10,000 cycles of reliability—but also flexibility in operation with dual configurations of 0.5P and 0.25P. This feature allows users to tailor the balance between high output power and prolonged energy delivery based on diverse operational scenarios.

Simplified Installation

Designed without a transformer and with direct load integration, the system reduces complexities associated with installation. Each unit occupies merely 2.03 m², and it can scale up for parallel operation to reach 4.4 MWh. This makes the STAR H-MAX suitable for various applications, including factories, industrial parks, and distributed energy projects.

Temperature Control Technology

To ensure optimal performance across different environments, STAR H-MAX implements an AI-based smart temperature control system. This advanced technology operates effectively between -25 °C and 55 °C, maintaining a close temperature range of no more than 3 °C between cells. Further enhancing its appeal, the system operates at a noise level of just 65 dB, making it an excellent choice for noise-sensitive environments.

Advanced Grid Services

The STAR H-MAX isn't just about storage; it’s equipped with features for enhanced grid resilience. The system supports fast switching between grid and off-grid modes thanks to its Static Transfer Switch (STS) technology, providing quick response times for frequency regulation under 250 milliseconds. This allows it to support frequency containment reserve applications such as aFRR, mFRR, and FCR.

Certifications

The STAR H-MAX has successfully met numerous international certifications, including IEC 62619, IEC 63056, IEC 60730-1, IEC 62477-1, IEC 61000-6-2 and 4, as well as UN38.3. It is approved for grid connection in 45 countries across Europe, Africa, and Asia, underscoring its global viability.
