We Act! Expands with New Locations
The innovative edutainment English conversation school,
We Act!, a collaboration between the motivational
Yaruki Switch Group and
Sanrio, is set to open two new locations in Tokyo on
March 1, 2026. These new schools,
We Act! Shirokane Takanawa and
We Act! St. Luke's Tower, will cater to children from kindergarten to junior high, offering a unique experience that blends education with entertainment through the beloved Sanrio characters.
Exploring the Concept of Edutainment
The term
edutainment, which combines education and entertainment, is at the heart of We Act! Here, students engage in creative movie-making exercises that not only develop their English language skills but also help them foster the vital ability to navigate an unpredictable future by thinking critically and collaborating with others. In this immersive environment, children can take on roles, express themselves differently than usual, and uncover new facets of their identities. The goal is to empower students to believe in their potential and develop the skills necessary to carve their own futures.
Unique Features of We Act!
1. Immersive Experience with Sanrio Characters
The classrooms are designed to resemble real film studios, where Sanrio characters appear as movie production staff to motivate students, encouraging them to participate fully in the movie production activities rather than viewing it as mere learning. This environment stimulates enthusiasm and fosters creativity.
2. Cultivating Essential Life Skills
The We Act! program fosters three pivotal skills essential for shaping one's future:
- - Self-Efficacy: Students are encouraged to think independently, make decisions, and take action through activities like memorizing lines and self-expressions at auditions.
- - Collaborative Capability: By working with peers on activities like voice acting and rehearings, children learn to cooperate and create together, reinforcing their teamwork skills.
- - Imaginative Faculty: Students are urged to envision not just the known world but a future full of possibilities by immersing in roles and expressing creatively.
3. The Motivation Method
Utilizing over 50 years of expertise, the
Yaruki Method has been developed to nurture students' intrinsic motivation and create a supportive learning environment that encourages self-growth and continuous learning.
