Nelson-Jameson Expands East Coast Operations

Nelson-Jameson, a prominent distributor in the food processing industry, has recently made headlines by announcing a strategic expansion aimed at better serving its clients on the East Coast. The grand opening of their new facility in Fairview, Pennsylvania, is set for September 10, 2025. This expansion is particularly significant as it contributes to the company's growing presence and commitment to food safety and quality across the region.

With this new distribution center, Nelson-Jameson will enhance its operational capacity and customer service capabilities. The new facility spans 45,000 square feet and is strategically located on an 8.4-acre plot, with future expansion plans in place for an adjacent 20-acre parcel. Notably, a 16,000-square-foot mezzanine is also being renovated to improve overall functionality and employee experience, which will be essential as the company continues to grow.

Mike Rindy, the president of Nelson-Jameson, emphasizes the company’s mission by stating, "Deep community relationships, fast response times, and a true understanding of regional market needs have always been paramount to the Nelson-Jameson mission.” This approach ensures that Nelson-Jameson can effectively meet the demands of food manufacturers, who are increasingly focusing on upholding the highest standards in food safety, quality, and compliance.

In addition to the physical expansion, the company has strategically expanded its workforce by hiring several key personnel in the East Coast region. Significant new hires include Tom Willard, a strategic account manager; Andy Ziobert, a sanitary process maintenance expert; and Matt Hudkins, a food safety quality expert. These additions reflect Nelson-Jameson’s dedication to providing exceptional service and support to their East Coast clientele.

The Fairview facility will play a pivotal role in improving the delivery of products and services to local food processors. As Nelson-Jameson operates five distribution centers across the country, this latest addition reinforces its mission to support food manufacturers throughout the United States. The facility features 12 truck bays dedicated to the company’s transportation and delivery fleet, ensuring efficient distribution.

Founded in 1947, Nelson-Jameson has positioned itself as a leader in the food processing industry, starting with a focus on dairy production supplies and gradually expanding its offerings to more than 79,000 curated products from over 1,000 vendors. Today, it represents a fourth-generation, family-owned business known for prioritizing food safety and quality while delivering a comprehensive suite of solutions to its clients.

This expansion underscores the continuing evolution of Nelson-Jameson, as the company adapts to changing consumer trends and newly emerging standards within the food industry. Emphasizing innovation, the company continues to respond to the market's demands by enhancing its logistics capabilities, strengthening its workforce, and ultimately ensuring that it remains the supplier of choice for customers across all 50 states and international markets.
