Broadmind's Seminar on Realities of Job Hunting in Japan

Broadmind's Insights at the Job Hunting Seminar

On November 19, Broadmind Inc. took part in a seminar titled "The Realities of Job Hunting as Taught by Corporate HR" held at Bunkyo University's Faculty of Business, Tokyo. The event aimed to address the growing concerns among students preparing for job searches, including uncertainties about how to start, what employers look for in application materials, and what interviewers prioritize during the hiring process.

Background of the Seminar

In recent years, many students have expressed anxiety about the hiring process, worried about where to begin, how their entry sheets are evaluated, and what interviewers focus on. Organized by the NPO Branding Port, this seminar featured HR professionals from various companies who shared their honest insights on the hiring landscape, aiming to alleviate student concerns and foster an early awareness of career development.

The participants mostly consisted of students from Shuto Seminar within the Faculty of Business, along with first and second-year students from a range of academic years.

Overview of the Seminar

Three companies, including Broadmind, were represented by their HR professionals who engaged in a panel discussion format, answering student questions. The event served as a platform to share genuine information about the hiring process, focusing on how entry sheets are viewed, key points evaluated during interviews, and essential preparations students should undertake during their academic careers.

Students actively posed questions, prompting the session to extend beyond its scheduled time due to overwhelming engagement. Topics of interest included how personal traits and enthusiasm are assessed, the significance of early preparation, and the characteristics companies are seeking in potential candidates.
