OMD Secures Unprecedented Ninth Consecutive Top Ranking in RECMA Diagnostics Report
In a remarkable showcase of dominance, OMD, a prominent agency in the Omnicom Media Group, has claimed the number one spot in the recent RECMA (Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry) Network Diagnostics report. This recognition marks the ninth consecutive edition in which OMD has positioned itself as the leading global media network, underscoring its strength and consistent performance in the industry.
The RECMA Diagnostics report, highly regarded for its rigorous analysis, evaluates around 700 media agencies across 45 different markets. The report employs 19 key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess both the vitality and structure of each participating agency. Rather than solely focusing on traditional metrics such as new business acquisition or billing volumes, the report considers broader criteria including client stability, digital and data resources, and geographical uniformity.

OMD's recent accolade is particularly notable as the gap between its score and that of the second-ranked agency is nearly double the distance between the second and eighth spots, affirming OMD's position as an unchallenged leader in the sector. RECMA's analysis over a three-year reporting cycle indicated that OMD's quali-share remained exceptionally high, contrasting sharply with declines observed among its main competitors within the same timeframe.
Looking back over a decade, OMD has consistently outperformed its counterparts; it remains the only agency among the top five from 2014 to see an increase in performance, reflecting impressive stability and consistency which RECMA describes as “exceptional”.
