Atre Ebisu Unveils New Shopping and Dining Experience with Grand Openings

New Beginnings at Atre Ebisu

Atre Ebisu, located in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo, is entering the final chapter of its large-scale renewal project that began in 2026. The full reopening is set to commence on August 20, 2026, with the much-anticipated flagship store of Kobe-ya Kitchen being the star attraction. This will be followed by the grand openings of Bacara, an Italian bar which marks its first location in Atre, and Din Tai Fung, a renowned Taiwanese dim sum restaurant, in September.

Exciting New Offerings at Kobe-ya Kitchen

Kobe-ya Kitchen will not just be another bakery; it brings a refreshed vision through its rebranding, focusing on innovation and creativity in the culinary arts. In celebration of its reopening, they will introduce a new product line under the theme “Be Playful.”

One of the standout items will be their “Indulgent Butter Salt Bread,” crafted by a team led by the renowned chef Yuki Nagata, a two-time champion at the World Bread Championships. This special product series breaks away from traditional baking norms, emphasizing playfulness and high-quality ingredients. Expect to see a total of five distinct products, including pastries designed to elevate the dessert experience to new heights, transforming everyday meals into extraordinary occasions.

The excitement continues into August with a special opening campaign featuring Chef Nagata himself visiting the store from August 20 to 22, offering customers a unique opportunity to meet the culinary artist behind the creations.

Bacara – A Taste of Italy

Set to open on September 10, Bacara will introduce a delightful new Italian dining experience, complementing the diverse offerings found in Atre Ebisu. Located on the 4th floor, Bacara will feature handpicked natural wines paired with exquisite dishes inspired by Venetian cuisine. Their menu will consist of over 30 types of small plate dishes, making it perfect for sharing among friends and family.

To celebrate its pre-opening, Bacara will host a lottery system that invites 100 guests each day to sample the menu before the official opening. The pre-opening will occur on September 5th and 6th. Interested guests should check Bacara’s official Instagram for more information on how to enter the lottery; the deadline for applications is August 29.

Din Tai Fung Returns with a Twist

Following Bacara’s debut, Din Tai Fung will unveil its newly renovated location on September 12, offering diners a chance to indulge in its acclaimed dishes. Dinner service will extend from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring their signature black pork xiao long bao among other favorites. The restaurant will also offer an exclusive course menu ideal for special occasions, created with the use of premium ingredients.

Not only does Din Tai Fung promise a feast for the palate, but it also provides a relaxing ambiance and attentive service, ensuring an unparalleled dining experience for all customers.

What to Expect at Atre Ebisu

The renovations at Atre Ebisu aim to create an unmatched shopping and dining experience for visitors. The complex features two buildings: the main building (7 stories tall) and the west building (8 stories) with a total of over 150 shops and restaurants. In addition to the new eateries, several existing shops will have revamped layouts, enhancing the overall shopping atmosphere.
