What's New in the Update?

The recent update focuses on overhauling the exploration features within the game. Here are the key changes:

1. Overhauled Exploration Spot Rules

The rules for unlocking exploration spots and areas have been modified. Players can now actively upgrade their exploration spots through a new system. To level up their exploration spot, players must:

- Meet the requirement for the number of bug species found.
- Use research data and materials to execute the upgrade.

Additionally, research data can now be used collectively across all spots, allowing players to gather data at their preferred locations without the need to repeatedly explore the same spot.

Moreover, the upgrade now affects area unlocks based on the level of the exploration spots, with numerous new bug types and areas added for discovery.

2. Introduction of New Exploration Mechanisms

Players can look forward to diverse exploration mechanics such as flipping leaves, whack-a-mole-style mini-games, and areas exclusively inhabited by fast-flying bugs. These new challenges require players to strategically select which bugs to take on their explorations, enhancing the strategizing aspect of gameplay.

3. Changes in Exploration Fever Mechanics

The previous system that triggered a fever (a state that increases item and bug spawn) upon completing a specific number of explorations has been upgraded. Now, players can experience fever events at determined times within each spot. For example, at the park square, a fever will occur every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 PM to 9 PM. This provides flexible play options for players to fit exploration activities around these special time windows.

4. Additional Changes and Features

- Event Spots Revamped: Previous event-specific areas have been adjusted to allow certain bugs to appear in general town explorations. The 'Okinawa Forest' is now a limited-time exploration spot that can be unlocked by completing the 'Deciduous Forest' challenge.
- Home Screen Enhancements: Players can now easily check their next goals from the home screen.
- Shop Updates: Addition of item packs in the shop, while the video-viewing point acquisition has been removed.
