Kevin Fox Announces Resignation as President of Autoliv Americas Amid Leadership Transition
Kevin Fox Resigns as President of Autoliv Americas
In a significant leadership transition for Autoliv, Inc., the global leader in automotive safety systems, Kevin Fox has formally announced his resignation as President of Autoliv Americas. The announcement was made public on June 26, 2026, after Fox informed the company of his decision, citing personal reasons that prompted this change in direction.
Kevin Fox has had a remarkable career with Autoliv, spanning over three decades, during which he took on various leadership roles and significantly contributed to the company's growth. He has served as the President of Autoliv Americas since June 2020. Under his leadership, the Americas division has continued to excel in delivering high-quality automotive safety solutions, including airbags, seatbelts, and other protective systems that have collectively saved thousands of lives.
As part of the transition plan, Fox will remain in his position until August 31, 2026, ensuring a stable handover to his successor. After this date, he will take on the role of executive senior advisor to the CEO until February 28, 2027, aiding the new president in adapting to their role at the helm of the division.
Mikael Bratt, President and CEO of Autoliv, expressed deep gratitude for Fox's extensive service, recognizing his commitment and contributions over the past 30 years. Bratt emphasized the importance of the leadership Fox has exhibited, particularly in the past six years as part of the Executive Management Team.
Fox himself expressed mixed feelings about this pivotal moment in his career, stating, "It has been my privilege to lead the Autoliv Americas division and team. I am proud to have served much of my career at Autoliv." He added that while he is excited to focus on personal pursuits, there is a sense of sadness in stepping away from a role he's cherished.
Manageable transition processes are crucial for maintaining stability within large organizations. As such, the succession planning for Fox's replacement is already underway. Anthony Nellis, the current EVP of Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and Secretary, is set to step in as the acting President of Autoliv Americas following Fox’s departure. Nellis brings considerable experience to the position, being an integral part of the Executive Management Team and having significant prior involvement with the Americas leadership.
As Autoliv navigates through this transition period, the company remains committed to its mission: to redefine the standards of mobility safety. With operations in 25 countries and a passionate team of around 64,000 employees, Autoliv has continuously aimed to save lives and enhance passenger safety globally. In 2025 alone, the company’s innovations reportedly saved about 40,000 lives, a testimony to the effectiveness of its safety systems.
This leadership change marks a new chapter for Autoliv as it seeks to ensure continuity in its operations while remaining aligned with its long-term strategies. Stakeholders and employees alike eagerly await the appointment of Fox's successor, who will steer the company into its next phase of growth and continued excellence in automotive safety.
Stay tuned for further updates as the recruitment process for the new President, Autoliv Americas, gets underway, which signifies not only an evolution within the company but also a renewed commitment to its strategic objectives and mission to save more lives through innovative safety solutions.
