Join the Free Family Medicine Box Workshop in Saitama and Hyogo
This summer, Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Co., based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, announces an exciting opportunity for families: the
Family Medicine Box Workshop. Following the success of similar events held across various regions, including Tokyo and Kanagawa, this workshop is set to take place in Saitama and Hyogo in August 2025. This marks the first time the workshop will be held in Hyogo, making it a special event for families in the area.
The initiative, part of the
Connecting Families through Medicine Box Project, was launched in 2021 with the aim of encouraging families to review their regular medications and check expiration dates. To date, around 1,500 families have participated in the workshop, which emphasizes the importance of having a well-stocked medicine cabinet for maintaining health.
During the workshop, families with children in preschool and early elementary age will get to create their very own wooden medicine box. This hands-on activity is not just about crafting; it’s about instilling a sense of responsibility regarding the importance of regular medication checks and family health. Participants get to take home the medicine boxes they create, fostering a deeper connection with their family’s well-being.
In addition to crafting, attendees will also engage in a learning session titled
The Great Research on Medicine: Why? What? Through interactive worksheets, everyone will explore common questions and curiosities about medicine. This element guarantees that not only will participants gain hands-on experience, but they will also receive valuable knowledge, making it a perfect summer activity that aligns with school projects and research.

The Connecting Families through Medicine Box Project
The overarching goal of this project is for the medicine box to act as a guardian, ensuring the health and smiles of families are passed down through generations. Crafted by skilled artisans who embed tradition and culture into each box, the workshops are just one facet of the ongoing project. Alongside the hands-on experience, the initiative also provides educational materials aimed at younger school children to promote healthy living and self-care.
In closing,
Lulu emphasizes the importance of family bonds through such initiatives, just as it has been supporting families for over 70 years with reliable cold medication. Families' health and the traditions that encompass care and values are at the heart of the
Connecting Families through Medicine Box Project.
