Exciting New Student Housing Project: Dream Lofts at Full Sail University Set to Begin Construction Soon

Dream Lofts at Full Sail University: A New Era in Student Living

Full Sail University is taking a bold step in enhancing its campus environment with the upcoming construction of the "Dream Lofts," a brand-new student housing complex. This initiative, developed in partnership with the Terian Group, signifies a transformative chapter in the university’s long history, reinforcing its commitment to providing an enriching experience for students.

Strategic Location and Connectivity

The Dream Lofts will be strategically located on the north side of University Boulevard, ensuring easy access to campus facilities. A pedestrian walkway bridge is part of the plan, designed specifically for student safety and campus connectivity. This bridge will serve not only as a functional access point but also as an architectural landmark, enhancing the aesthetic of the campus while facilitating safe passage for students commuting between their accommodations and academic buildings.

Full Sail University President, Garry Jones, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Having a vibrant student housing resource such as Dream Lofts in close proximity to our campus is an extraordinary evolution in Full Sail's 45-plus year history." He emphasized how this development would cater to the diverse needs of the student body, making the campus a more attractive destination for current and future students.

Innovative Living Spaces Designed for Collaboration

The planned Dream Lofts complex will feature 180 units and a total of 576 beds in its first phase, catering to a range of living preferences. The accommodations will be fully furnished, with options varying from one to four bedrooms. Designed with the modern student in mind, the facility will boast high-speed fiber connectivity, built-in media workspaces, and collaborative creative lounges. Various community spaces are planned, including areas for study and relaxation, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.

Additionally, a resort-style pool and outdoor gathering spaces will provide students with opportunities to unwind and socialize. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of a fitness center and lounge facilities, while integrated safety features, such as secure parking and controlled building access, will ensure residents feel safe and welcome.

Collaborating with Experts for a Superior Experience

The design of the Dream Lofts has been entrusted to CBA Architects, with engineering contributions from Joseph Lawrence Co. Consulting Engineers and Forum Architecture. The construction will be managed by DeAngelis Diamond Construction Management Company, ensuring the project adheres to high standards of quality and safety. Financing for the project is provided by Fifth Third Bank, highlighting the robust financial backing that supports this ambitious endeavor.

The initial phase of Dream Lofts is projected for completion in early 2028, with plans for additional phases that will ultimately expand the facility to accommodate approximately 1,800 beds. This ambitious undertaking will not only provide essential housing for students but also enhance the overall campus experience, aligning with the university's mission to empower and inspire its students.

Celebrating a Bright Future

To mark the official start of construction, Full Sail University is organizing a groundbreaking ceremony set to take place in April. The ceremony will invite students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders to come together and celebrate this monumental occasion. It symbolizes not just the construction of new buildings, but also the ongoing commitment to fostering a thriving, supportive learning environment for all students.
