Innovative Transfer Network for Two-Year Students
In an exciting development for students pursuing higher education, Campus, a national online college specializing in two-year degrees, has announced its latest transfer partnership initiative. This initiative aims to facilitate smoother transitions for students stepping up from associate degrees to four-year colleges. With a roster now exceeding 30 prestigious universities, including Arizona State University, Rutgers Business School-Newark, and Tulane University, Campus is set to redefine the landscape of college transfers.
Tom Cavanagh, Vice Provost for Digital Learning at the University of Central Florida, commented on the significance of these agreements, emphasizing the importance of creating accessible pathways for today’s learners. He noted that by establishing transfer-friendly resources, they open doors for more students to attain high-quality bachelor’s degrees, thereby enhancing career mobility. The collaborative efforts between Campus and its partners are poised to ensure that students from diverse backgrounds can seamlessly achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
Through these recently forged relationships, students will be empowered to embark on their academic journeys by completing their first two years and earning an Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) at Campus. Following this, they can transfer to a partner institution to pursue their bachelor’s degrees. Most aligned universities in the Campus Transfer Network pledge to accept credits earned at Campus, significantly reducing the chances of lost credits and extended timeframes for degree completion.
Tade Oyerinde, the founder and Chancellor of Campus, highlighted a long-standing issue within the higher education system—the difficulties of transferring credits. Many students often find themselves facing unexpected setbacks that can lead to increased educational costs. Oyerinde’s vision with these partnerships aims to dismantle barriers and provide students with a clear trajectory from the outset, showcasing paths that are not only attainable but also budget-friendly.
To support students during their educational endeavors, Campus delivers live, online classes that feature respected professors from recognized institutions like Stanford and UCLA. In addition, students benefit from valuable resources such as on-demand tutoring and personal success coaching, fostering comprehensive support that enhances their learning experience.
The established transfer-friendly course-equivalency partnerships, including institutions such as Central Michigan University, Florida International University, and Mississippi State University, now serve as a model for how two-year colleges can effectively collaborate with four-year universities. This partnership approach promotes diversity in education while addressing workforce needs in Florida and beyond.
Graduates from Campus have already begun transferring to various institutions nationwide, pursuing diverse degrees in fields ranging from Business Administration to Criminology. This initiative not only transforms lives but also seeks to influence communities positively through employment and economic contributions.
Campus distinguishes itself as a revolutionary educational model aimed at offering a more cost-effective and expedient route into higher learning and career pathways. Designed with an emphasis on accessibility, the college's unique framework is built on a pioneering technology platform underpinned by extensive research into student success. As one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2024, Campus continues to uphold its commitment to enhance the future of education.
