Additional Slots Open for Physical AI Training at the University of Tokyo in December and January!

New Physical AI Training Sessions Announced

The Physical AI Theory Training offered by Commissure at the prestigious University of Tokyo is witnessing a surge in interest, leading to the announcement of additional slots for December 2026 and January 2027. Following the rapid enrollment for the November sessions, this expansion aims to cater to the growing demand for knowledge in the integration of Physical AI into business processes.

Comprehensive Learning Experience

This training program consists of a total of 10.5 hours, including 5 hours of online lectures and 5.5 hours of in-person sessions at the University of Tokyo. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Physical AI and robotics, focusing on identifying viable applications within their companies and developing criteria for comparing different models.

Course Structure

Participants have the option to choose one day for both the online lecture and in-person training. The upcoming sessions are scheduled as follows:

December 2026
Online Training:
  • - December 8 (Tuesday) 10:00 AM - 4:15 PM
  • - December 10 (Thursday) 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM
In-person at the University of Tokyo:
  • - December 15 (Tuesday) 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • - December 17 (Thursday) 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

January 2027
Online Training:
  • - January 12 (Tuesday) 10:00 AM - 4:15 PM
  • - January 14 (Thursday) 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM
In-person at the University of Tokyo:
  • - January 19 (Tuesday) 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • - January 21 (Thursday) 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

The timings include breaks, and while participants may choose sessions across different months, it is advisable to enroll within the same month for continuity.

Preparing for Implementation

The training is aimed at professionals in manufacturing DX, business planning, and production technology who are exploring the use of Physical AI and robotics. During the training, participants will learn to frame their approach to implementing robots based on not only the machines' performance but also the specific tasks and conditions relevant to their operations.

In the first part of the program, online lectures will cover:
  • - An overview of Physical AI and robotics
  • - Relationships between sensing, data, learning models, and machines
  • - Current capabilities and challenges
  • - Areas for application and stages of implementation

The second part of the training is hands-on and conducted in person, where participants will compile a list of potential applications for their specific processes and develop criteria for comparing different models. They will experience robot learning using simulators, observing the conditions under which learned behaviors succeed or fail prior to implementation. Notably, no prior programming experience or background knowledge is required to participate.
