Unveiling 'Changing Landscapes' at Asumise



Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store's unique experiential store, Asumise, located on the ninth floor of Daimaru Tokyo, is ready to launch its latest term on February 4, 2026. The theme for this season is "Changing Landscapes, Changing Views," focusing on refreshing perspectives as winter transitions into spring. Asumise invites visitors to engage with 23 carefully selected brands offering products that spark subtle changes in everyday life, perfect for gifting during Valentine’s and White Day celebrations, as well as launching into new living arrangements.

Running until April 28, the exhibition will not only feature a vibrant array of products but also host visual installations by five talented photographers, providing a thought-provoking experience surrounded by art.

Thematic Focus: "Changing Landscapes, Changing Views"



This latest theme encourages patrons to recognize the seasonal shifts in scenery and to appreciate the beauty of change. With winter gradually giving way to spring, viewers can expect the exhibition to evoke a sense of transformation and organic growth. By highlighting these shifts, Asumise aims to inspire visitors to embrace their changing surroundings and introduce refreshing elements into their own lives.

  • - Yamatoya: Celebrating over a century of craftsmanship, Yamatoya specializes in environmentally friendly furniture for children. Artistic Installations and Events



In keeping with the thematic exploration of changing perspectives, Asumise will also feature installations from five distinct photographers. Their visuals will play with the concept of "displacement" by integrating familiar parks and everyday scenes into creatively juxtaposed pictures, displayed as photo leisure sheets. This innovative merchandising aims to encourage visitors to explore their local parks and recognize the beauty in everyday landscapes.

Valentine’s Special at PostCoffee Kiosk



In conjunction with the new term, PostCoffee Kiosk, a unique coffee stand at Asumise, will run a special Valentine's event from January 28 to February 14. Patrons can savor around 20 types of drip bag coffee designed to complement a variety of chocolates, creating an elevated pairing experience. Additionally, a limited-time drink, the Cinnamon Chocolate Latte, will be available to warm hearts on chilly days.
