Longchamp Revives Atelier Remnants with the Launch of the Re-Play Collection
Longchamp, the iconic French brand established in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, combines authenticity and energy in its latest release, the Re-Play collection. Scheduled to debut on February 3, 2026, this innovative line aims to creatively blend fashion and sustainability by utilizing leftover materials that have been resting in the brand's atelier.
The Re-Play collection was born out of the desire to minimize waste and reduce carbon emissions, embodying its name by reintroducing discarded materials into the fashion landscape. The collection is not just about reusing materials; it also seeks to rediscover value through playful designs filled with energy. Originating from the Spring/Summer 2026 theme, "Slide in Style," the Re-Play collection takes inspiration from the vibrant beach culture, illustrating a story called "Catch the Parisian Wave."
This season, Longchamp revamps the traditional big bag with a fresh design inspired by surfboard carry bags. The new bag features a durable two-tone color-blocking body crafted from leftover materials, complemented by unique accent straps that create a relaxed and playful silhouette. It is the perfect companion for the modern Parisienne, ready to embrace both city life and beach adventures.
What was once forgotten—materials that had been stored away and left unused—now finds new life and purpose. The Re-Play collection stands as a testament to the artisans at Longchamp, who continuously innovate while holding deep respect for their craft and the materials they work with. This innovative approach pays homage to the brand's commitment to sustainability and its zero-waste philosophy, celebrating creativity that honors the art of making goods that are designed to last.
