Zoomlion Expands Global Reach with $300 Million Credit Insurance and Financing Agreement

Zoomlion's Strategic Financial Moves

On September 11, 2026, during the Zoomlion 2026 Global Financial Partners Summit held in Shanghai, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. made a significant step towards expanding its global footprint in the financial sector. The company announced the signing of a remarkable $300 million portfolio credit insurance policy along with an initial $50 million non-recourse factoring agreement. This comprehensive agreement is a strategic move designed to bolster Zoomlion's international operations, especially in managing overseas installment receivables.

The arrangement, which took over six months to develop in collaboration with international financial institutions and insurers, integrates two key components: portfolio credit insurance and non-recourse factoring. The innovative structure allows Zoomlion to manage and finance its overseas receivables systematically rather than on an individual transaction basis. Essentially, the insurance coverage will enable the company to factor its overseas receivables without recourse through an overseas banking partner. This strategy is anticipated to convert these receivables into scalable and standardized investment-grade assets, making the financing process more efficient.

At the signing ceremony, the credit insurance policy was affirmed with a reputable double-A-rated global insurer. Furthermore, the initial non-recourse factoring agreement was established with an overseas bank, highlighting the reliability and the robust backing of the financial structure coordinated by Zoomlion. These agreements come at a pivotal moment in Zoomlion's expansion efforts, as the company's international revenue surged by 12.45% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, achieving approximately RMB 15.54 billion (around US$2.31 billion). This impressive revenue figure now accounts for 57.25% of the company’s total revenue, showcasing the growing importance of international business for Zoomlion.

Zoomlion's Chief Financial Officer, Du Yigang, remarked on the fruitful collaboration between the company and its global financial partners, emphasizing the importance of maintaining integrity and mutual trust. He stated, "Zoomlion will continue to uphold the values of Integrity, Dedication, Inclusiveness, and Responsibility while deepening collaboration with our financial partners."

The summit saw participation from over 40 financial and insurance collaborators from various regions, including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, France, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong SAR. Participants engaged in discussions regarding the current macroeconomic landscape, strategies for overseas finance and insurance, and market opportunities. A session led by the Economist Corporate Network (ECN) provided insights into the geopolitical and economic trends impacting global markets. Experts from Radana and Alfa-Bank also shared valuable perspectives on both market and financing developments.

Expanding the discussion, Xu Xiaoming, General Manager of Zoomlion's Financial Business Management and Credit Insurance Departments, highlighted future collaborative efforts while Yan Xin, Deputy General Manager, explained the company's innovative strategies in third-party overseas financing and insurance. These strategies are aimed at enhancing their approach and operational efficiency as Zoomlion looks toward the future.

Looking ahead, Zoomlion is committed to deepening its partnerships with global finance and insurance stakeholders. This commitment extends to developing scalable and replicable financial solutions, driving the company’s ambitious international growth plans. With these new initiatives, Zoomlion exemplifies a forward-thinking approach, positioning itself for success in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.

In summary, Zoomlion Heavy Industry’s strategic moves in the financial sector—marked by the recent $300 million credit insurance policy and $50 million factoring agreement—illustrate its commitment to enhancing international operations and reflecting a robust growth trajectory in its business model. As the company continues to innovate and collaborate with global partners, its potential to thrive in the international arena looks brighter than ever.
