Application Period

  • - Funding Limit: Up to 3 billion yen
  • - Support Rate: Covering up to two-thirds of the eligible expenses associated with the project
  • - Support Duration: Two years from the date of grant award or project plan approval
  • - Expected Number of Support Applicants: One grant will be awarded in this round

Eligibility Requirements


To ensure that the grant supports viable and productive ventures, applicants must meet specific criteria:
1. Business foundation: As of May 1, 2026, applicants must fulfill one of the following:
- They must have been in business for at least one year and have a registered head office or branch in Tokyo.
- Alternatively, if they were established in Tokyo and have been operational for less than one year, they must demonstrate plans to continue business in Tokyo utilizing the grant's outcomes.
2. Mass production readiness: Projects must satisfy criteria focusing on the mass production of their innovative technologies, ensuring they can effectively transition from concept to practical application.

Overall, the program emphasizes the need for projects to contribute meaningfully to solving societal challenges while demonstrating a clear path toward commercialization.

To facilitate understanding of the application process and program details, the Tokyo government will host an online information session on June 10, 2026, from 13:30 to 15:00.
